This research uses qualitative research methods. The author used observation, interview, and documentation techniques to collect data in the field. Next, the collected data is analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results of the research show that the analysis of the Qur'an Hadith Teacher's Approach to Illiterate Students of the Qur'an at Islamic Junior High School Alkhairaat Pandere, Gumbasa District, Sigi Regency includes three points: 1). The learning approach used is a Collaborative Team Games Tournament (TGT) approach and a Two Stay Two Stray collaborative approach. 2). In practice, the teacher uses group learning techniques and writing using Latin letters. 3). Policies taken in cases related to students are always taken by deliberation by the committee and student guardians, and their implementation uses complete supervision from all parties. The implications of this research are expressed in the form of suggestions, namely for the Islamic Junior High School Alkhairaat Pandere to provide more opportunities for Islamic education teachers, especially Qur'an Hadith, to develop their quality in the form of training regarding classroom management, mastery of material and most importantly, deepening and mastering the curriculum and learning approaches which are diverse and continue to develop. Other Islamic junior high schools could adopt the techniques used by the Islamic Junior High School Alkhairaat Pandere in handling students who are illiterate in the Qur'an.

Abstract

The lack of political literacy among first-time voters poses a significant challenge to improving the quality of democracy, especially ahead of the 2024 Jambi Provincial Head Elections. Low political participation among young voters and high abstention rates underscore the urgency of this community service program. The program aims to deliver structured political education to enhance understanding, awareness, and participation among first-time voters. The method used was Community Service Learning, incorporating workshops, group discussions, election simulations, and pre-test and post-test surveys. The program targeted high school students and university freshmen in Jambi. Results indicated a substantial improvement in participants' political literacy. Knowledge of election schedules increased from 49% to 96.67%, understanding of gubernatorial candidates' visions and missions rose from 43.81% to 96.67%, and awareness of the relationship between elections and democracy improved from 21.43% to 88.10%. This program demonstrates that participatory political education can enhance political literacy and encourage young voters to actively engage in democracy. However, challenges such as political skepticism and low interest in democratic issues require continued efforts. Media literacy and digital platforms are recommended to broaden the program's reach and mitigate the impact of misinformation. In conclusion, sustained political education can foster a more inclusive and participatory democratic culture.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) around the Seven Level Waterfall in Bukit Berantai Village, Batang Asai District, Sarolangun Regency, and evaluates the strategic role of local and village governments in developing sustainable community-based tourism. The research addresses the critical need for effective government strategies in managing tourism destinations that empower local communities while preserving environmental and cultural heritage. Using a qualitative research approach, this study conducted in-depth interviews with local government officials, village administrators, tourism stakeholders, and community members to gather comprehensive insights into current management practices and challenges. Data collection involved systematic field observations, participatory research methods, and thorough analysis of tourism-related policy documents and regulatory frameworks. The theoretical foundation integrates tourism management principles with SWOT analysis methodology to identify internal strengths and weaknesses alongside external opportunities and threats facing the destination. Findings reveal that while the Seven Level Waterfall possesses significant natural tourism potential, current management faces substantial challenges including inadequate infrastructure, limited accessibility, insufficient promotional activities, lack of professional tourism services, and poor connectivity. The study identifies key strategic principles essential for sustainable tourism development, emphasizing community ownership, participatory decision-making, equitable benefit distribution, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation. Results demonstrate that effective government intervention as both facilitator and regulator is crucial for establishing comprehensive tourism management frameworks that enhance community empowerment, economic development, and destination sustainability, ultimately contributing to the broader goals of rural development and poverty alleviation.
