Abstract

Sudiroprajan Chinatown has tourist attractions that can support cultural tourism attractions in Surakarta City. With multi-ethnic acculturation in terms of annual celebrations to the special foods available in Sudiroprajan Chinatown Village. However, due to the pandemic, the Sudiroprajan Pokdarwis was no longer active and resulted in the paralysis of the tourist attraction icon in Sudiroprajan Chinatown Village. The purpose of this study is to find out what attractions exist in Sudiroprajan Chinatown Village and then to analyze the inhibiting factors for the development of tourist attractions and come up with some suggestions so that they can attract tourists to visit. To get the data in this research is to do direct observation, documentation, direct interview with the Head of Pokdarwis Sudiroprajan and look for literature studies related to the research problem. The results obtained are many tourist attractions in the form of the Kali Pepe and Grebeg Sudiro river crossings. See the Lion Dance and various culinary delights. The obstacles found were regarding inconsistent management due to the large number of youth volunteers who have their own busy lives and finally the Covid-19 virus. Further research is suggested to expand the attraction of cultural tourism around the Surakarta City area.

Abstract

Rapid advancements in information technology have necessitated efficient use of data. This research evaluates the content on the Girimulyo Tourism Village website, [www.senatahadventure.com], in terms of completeness, speed, and efficiency through five dimensions of website facilities. By utilizing this technology, tourists can access comprehensive, timely, and efficient information. The data for this study were obtained by visiting the Senatah Adventure website and comparing it with other websites. This research employs five dimensions of information technology: information, communication, transactions, relationships, and technical excellence. The findings indicate that the website [www.senatahadventure.com] only meets the technical excellence dimension, which can be found via a Google search engine and has a fast-loading time. However, several deficiencies must be addressed to transform a website into a dynamic platform known to the broader community.

Abstract

This research is entitled The Role of Media in Promoting Sustainable Tourism Practices, which aims to understand the contribution of the media in increasing tourist awareness of the concept of sustainable tourism. The method used in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which allows the collection, analysis, and synthesis of various relevant research in a systematic manner. The SLR process involves identifying key research questions, literature search strategies from academic sources such as Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect, as well as data analysis to identify trends, key findings, and research gaps in the field under review. The results of the study show that media, both traditional and digital, have a strategic role in the promotion of sustainable tourism. Digital media, such as social media, blogs, and vlogs, are effective tools in disseminating information and shaping tourists' perceptions of sustainable destinations. Meanwhile, traditional media remains relevant in reaching certain segments of tourists. However, there are several challenges in the implementation of media as a means of promoting sustainable tourism, including greenwashing practices that can mislead tourists and low awareness of sustainability among industry players. Therefore, collaboration between the government, industry players, and the public is needed in optimizing the role of the media to support socially responsible, economic, and environmentally responsible tourism practices. With the right strategy, the media can be an important instrument in ensuring the sustainability of the tourism sector and providing long-term benefits for all stakeholders

Abstract

The relocation of hawkers in Malioboro area has an impact on various parties, especially tourist who visit Malioboro area. This change has an impact on tourists’ perception towards Malioboro area. Therefore, this research aims to determine the perception of tourists regarding the ambiance in Malioboro area after the relocation of the hawkers based on the satisfaction of tourist visits and to determine accessibility, facilities, and environment in Malioboro area after the relocation of the hawkers. This research applied descriptive research method with quantitative approach. The population in this research is tourist who have visited the Malioboro area before and after the relocation of hawkers with a sample of 100 respondents. The data were collected using questionnaires, observations, and interviews. There are 3 variables used to measure tourist perceptions, which are Accessibility, Facilities, Environment. The characteristics of tourists are dominated by female tourists with an age range of 20-29 years old, mainly from Central Java. And the result of data analysis shows that 25% of tourists give their perception of the environment of Malioboro area before the relocation of the hawkers and 31% of tourists give their perception of the environment of Malioboro area after the relocation of the hawkers. This study concluded that the perception of tourists is dominated by tourists who agree with the Malioboro area after the relocation of the hawkers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis kelayakan suatu destinasi wisata yang direncanakan baik oleh pemerintah ataupun swasta untuk dikembangkan sebagai daerah wisata berbasis ekosistem. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara, survei dan analisis SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat). Suatu daerah yang masih terjaga kualitas alamnya memiliki potensi yang signifikan untuk dapat dijadikan suatu obyek atau destinasi wisata dengan tetap menjaga kelestarian dari alamnya, daerah seperti ini dapat memberikan manfaat sosial dan lingkungan, seperti ruang hijau untuk tujuan wisata dan juga sebagai sarana pendidikan. Saran dari penelitian adalah daerah wisata yang memiliki prospek untuk digarap menjadi suatu destinasi wisata berbasis ekosistem membutuhkan dukungan pemerintah juga pemilik modal atau pihak swasta dalam hal pengembangannya. Saran lainnya adalah diperlukan suatu studi kelayakan ekonomi dalam menghadapi kondisi bisnis yang tidak pasti yang dapat berdampak terhadap pengembalian modal yang membutuhkan jangka waktu lama.
