Abstract

Minat siswa dalam mengikuti lingkungan pembelajaran, keaktifan mereka dalam bertanya, dalam menjawab pertanyaan, dalam menyimpulkan tujuan pembelajaran, dan indikator lainnya menunjukkan betapa bersemangatnya mereka dalam belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan minat belajar siswa di MTsN 2 Kerinci. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII C yang terdiri dari 21 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 8 siswa memiliki minat belajar sangat baik dan 13 siswa minat belajar siswa cukup baik. Jika dilihat dari indikator siswa 57 % siswa senang dengan matematika, 85% siswa mengikuti pembelajaran dengan baik, 61% siswa aktif untuk berdiskusi, 85% siswa merasa puas jika berhasil menyelesaikan soal matematika dan 85% siswa giat belajar matematika untuk mendapatkan nilai yang tinggi. Jadi, siswa memiliki minat yang cukup baik untuk pembelajaran matematika dan mereka giat dalam belajar agar bisa mendapatkan nilai yang tinggi. Students' interest in participating in the learning environment, their activeness in asking questions, in answering questions, in concluding learning objectives, and other indicators show how enthusiastic they are in learning. This study aims to analyze and describe students' interest in learning at MTsN 2 Kerinci. This type of research uses quantitative descriptive research. The research subjects were students of class VIII C which consisted of 21 students. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The results showed that 8 students had a very good interest in learning and 13 students had a good interest in learning. When viewed from student indicators, 57% of students are happy with mathematics, 85% of students follow the lesson well, 61% of students are active in discussions, 85% of students are satisfied if they successfully complete math problems and 85% of students are active in learning mathematics to get high scores. So, students have a pretty good interest in learning mathematics, and they are active in learning so they can get high scores.

Abstract

Learning mathematics related to culture is an effective alternative to mathematics. The Karamentang Sungai Tutung is a cultural object that is used as a marker for a kenduri sko event or thanksgiving for all the village residents for their harvest which is held every five years. In Karamentang there are geometric mathematical concepts that can be reflected on, namely parallelograms and rectangles. The aim of this research is to apply karamentang ethnomathematics in transformational reflection mathematics learning and see students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The research method used is a mixed method using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Normality Test data analysis technique, hypothesis test (t-test), analysis of questionnaire results and interviews. This research data was obtained from observations, tests, questionnaires and interviews. The results of the research show that the effective t-test is t count < t table, namely 0.034517 < 2.109816 and the questionnaire results are more than the KKM of 79.51%. So it can be concluded that the application of ethnomathematics using the Tutung River Karamentang in mathematics learning reflective material in class.

Abstract

Several learning difficulties experienced by students at school are difficulty in solving the problems due to a lack of understanding of concepts, fear of being wrong and being scolded by the teacher, the initial assumption that mathematics is difficult, and a lack of understanding that resulting in conceptual errors. Assistance was carried out for VII B in MTs Negeri 2 Kerinci in detail on the Linear Inequalities in One Variable material. The assistance was carried out consisting of 4 assistants. Each assistants accompanies 2 students who have difficulty learning mathematics. Assistance activities for students run parallel to the learning carried out by the teacher. The assistants re-explains parts of the material that students who have learning difficulties have not understood and answers questions posed by the students they are accompanying. In addition, other examples are also given to increase understanding. This assistance have been carried out well and have provided positive benefits and impacts, namely the growth of enthusiasm for learning for students. This can be seen in the enthusiastic students who always ask about problem-solving.
