Abstract

The injection molding machine in this research is a vertical injection machine that is capable of processing chopped plastic bottles for drinking water into more useful products. The temperature required for HDPE plastic waste is 300℃ and requires 1035 Watts of power, while PP plastic waste uses a temperature of 164℃ with a power of 957 watts. The melt flow rate for HDPE type waste is 0.58 ?⁄? while for PP type waste it is 0.59?⁄? so there is a difference of 0.1 ?⁄?.

Abstract

Insurance is a form of protection against the concept of risk transfer that may occur from an uncertain event. One type of insurance is life insurance. With the changing times, life insurance launched innovative products, one of which is endowment life insurance. Endowment life insurance is a type of life insurance that provides compensation benefits if the policy holder dies during the coverage period, as well as providing cash value and bonuses if the policy holder is still alive until the end of the period. This study aims to determine the fair price of insurance policies and the price of bonus life insurance policies. Determination of the value of the American put option with the binomial method using a numerical approach, the formulation of the portfolio model includes determining the model of the unit price with Geometric Brownian Motion, solving using Black-Scholes, determining the structure of the bonus life insurance policy with the formulation of a single premium payment, bonus rate, and benefits. then analyze the movement of the price of a reasonable bonus life insurance policy with a surrender option based on the age of the insured, technical rate, participation level, and volatility. The surrender value obtained is the difference between the value of the American Put option and the European Call Option. Based on the simulation, the conclusion of this analysis is that the price of the endowment type life insurance policy can be estimated using the binomial method at around 0.78 for a fair policy price and around 0.27 for a policy price with a surrender option. This gives an idea of the relative value of the policy price to the expected benefits under certain conditions, such as the death of the insured in the first year of the contract.

Abstract

Pasca pandemi Covid-19, institusi pendidikan berbenah kembali dengan mengatur ulang pelaksanaan kurikulumnya. Hal ini menuntut guru berinovasi dalam mengembangkan keterampilannya. Guru sebagai salah satu sumber belajar menjadi tumpuan peserta didiknya dalam mencari informasi dan penjelasan, terutama mengenai kesulitan dalam memahami materi pelajaran, khususnya pelajaran matematika di tingkat SLTA. Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dari Program Studi Matematika FMIPA Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) berinisiatif mengajak mitra yaitu forum Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Matematika SMA/MA Kabupaten Tanah Laut Kalimantan Selatan dalam kegiatan PKM dengan peserta guru anggota MGMP tersebut. Tujuannya untuk meningkatkan inovasi guru dalam pembelajaran siswa dan dapat menerbitkan artikel ilmiah pada jurnal nasional. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa diskusi dan sharing dengan materi tentang pembuatan suplemen pelajaran matematika, teknis dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dan pengenalan metode statistika untuk analisis data. Pelaksanaan kegiatan berlangsung dengan lancar dan sesuai harapan. Para peserta memberikan apresiasi yang baik dan bersemangat untuk membuat PTK serta menyusun materi tambahan dalam pelajaran matematika. Harapan selanjutnya, peserta didik dari anggota MGMP dapat bertambah wawasan dan semakin meningkat kualitas hasil belajarnya. After the Covid-19 pandemic, educational institutions have reorganized their curriculum implementation. This requires teachers to innovate in developing their skills. Teachers as one of the sources of learning become the focus of their students in seeking information and explanations, especially regarding difficulties in understanding subject matter, especially mathematics lessons at the high school level. The Community Service Team (PKM) from the Mathematics Study Program FMIPA Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) took the initiative to invite partners, namely the forum for the High School Mathematics Teacher Consultation (MGMP) in Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan, in PKM activities with teacher participants from the MGMP. The goal is to increase teacher innovation in student learning and be able to publish scientific articles in national journals. The method used in this activity is in the form of discussion and sharing with material on making math lesson supplements, techniques in Classroom Action Research (PTK), and introduction to statistical methods for data analysis. The implementation of the activity went smoothly and as expected. The participants gave good appreciation and were eager to make PTK and compile additional materials in math lessons. The next hope is that students from MGMP members can gain more insight and improve the quality of their learning outcomes.

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in school learning can enhance instructional quality and efficiency; however, its use by teachers remains fragmented. This community development activity, conducted by the Department of Mathematics at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, aimed to improve teachers’ knowledge and skills through training and mentoring that emphasized the integrated use of ChatGPT, Gamma AI, and Presentations.AI. The program was implemented at SMP Negeri 12 Banjarbaru, Indonesia, involving teachers from various subject areas. Activities included AI-based training, hands-on mentoring, and pre- and post-activity evaluation. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. Results showed that improvements related to ChatGPT were not statistically significant (p > 0.05), whereas improvements with Gamma AI were statistically significant (p < 0.05). Improvements in Presentations.AI usage and integrated AI application skills were highly significant (p < 0.01). These findings indicate that integrated AI-based mentoring effectively enhances teacher competence at the junior high school level.

Abstract

Gold is one of the most popular and considered safe investment instruments due to its long-term value stability. However, gold prices still experience fluctuations influenced by various economic and geopolitical factors. Therefore, the ability to predict gold prices is crucial for investors, traders, and jewelry industry players. This study aims to predict the selling price of Antam gold using a simple linear regression method based on historical data of buying and selling prices during the period of March 31 to April 7, 2025. The analysis shows a positive linear relationship between buying and selling prices, with the regression equation Y = 8.660,47 + 0,97X . The model yields predictions that closely approximate actual values, with a Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) of Rp 2,328.91 and an accuracy rate of 99.86%. These findings indicate that simple linear regression can be an effective and accurate tool for short-term gold price forecasting and can serve as a basis for investment decision-making.
