Abstract

Floods occur due to rainfall that is high enough so that the water level rises above normal limits and overflows into residential areas. Floods can occur regardless of time, so there is a need to increase public awareness of floods. In the environment around the Krisnadwipayana University, namely, Jaticempaka Village, Bekasi, which is one of the public service partners, floods often occur due to the overflow of the Sunter River. Based on surveys and monitoring, the lack of public awareness of Jaticempaka Village, Bekasi, regarding flood disasters due to the lack of a system or device that can detect the high water level in the Sunter River, which causes flooding. Therefore, lecturers and students of the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Krisnadwipayana University were inspired to participate with carrying out public service, namely by making and installing a flood detection device that can detect water level levels at the Sunter River using an Atmega 8535 microcontroller and an ESP8266 MCU node. It is hoped that by installing the flood detection device, the public of Jaticempaka Village, Bekasi, can obtain information about the water level of the Sunter River, so that can increase public awareness of flood disasters.

Abstract

Faktor utama dalam menentukan kualitas penerimaan siaran televisi adalah kuat medan atau (field strength), yaitu kekuatan sinyal pancaran yang diterima oleh TV receiver di suatu tempat. Analisa pada sistem pemancar BSTV ini dengan membandingkan hasil pengukuran dan hasil perhitungan field strength. Pengukuran kuat sinyal ini dilakukan di 9 (sembilan) titik diwilayah jabodetabek, dari 9 titik wilayah, 7 lokasi yang mendapat hasil perhitungan field strength dibawah 50,00 dBμV/m, yang berpengaruh terhadap kualitas audio dan video yang diterima. Sedangkan di 1 (satu) daerah yang lain didapatkan hasil pengukuran signal strength 0 dB (μV/m), hal ini dikarenakan faktor geografis dan banyaknya penghalang (obstacle). Solusinya untuk hal ini adalah dengan menaikan daya pada pemancar BSTV. Lokasi terakhir wilayah yang mempunyai kualitas video baik sekali dimana field strength 65–70 dBμV/m hal ini karenakan lokasi tersebut dekat dengan lokasi pemancar BSTV

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country where the majority of the population works as farmers, and Indonesia also has very fertile land to be managed as agricultural land. Where in farming, irrigation or irrigation is very important because irrigation in agricultural fields is a determinant of the success of agricultural products, in this case there are still many Indonesian farmers who have difficulty managing their agricultural irrigation efficiently, where they still have to do irrigation manually on their agricultural fields. So the authors want to provide a solution in the form of smart irrigation based on the internet of things that uses WEMOS D1 as the main device to control input and output to make irrigation automatically when agricultural land is dry by pumping water from rivers or reservoirs around agricultural areas, then connecting to Blynk as a user interface for monitoring agricultural soil moisture, but in this study the authors only made a design in the form of a prototype

Abstract

The process of sorting ping pong balls based on color is an application that can be automated using microcontroller technology. This research aims to design and build a ping pong ball sorting tool based on the Arduino Uno ATmega328 microcontroller, which is capable of detecting and sorting balls based on color. This tool uses a TCS3200 sensor to identify the color of the balls and controls a servo motor that moves the balls to the appropriate sorting lane. The ping pong balls are inserted one by one, while the color reading and ball grouping are done automatically. The testing was conducted using 15 ping pong balls with 5 yellow balls, 5 green balls, and 5 orange balls. The test results showed that this tool, overall, has an accuracy rate of 96% in detecting and sorting balls according to color with an average time of 2 seconds per ball. Despite several external factors, the system was able to function effectively. This tool is expected to improve efficiency and accuracy in sorting ping pong balls and serve as a basis for further development in similar automated systems. Some errors occurred due to variations in light intensity and incorrect ball positioning, resulting in an overall error percentage of 4%.

Abstract

However, little research has been done on how harmonic distortion affects the electrical quality of buildings. This harmonic distortion is caused by nonlinear loads, which will mainly affect electronic equipment. At the building's main distribution panel point (MDP), To obtain information, total harmonic distortion in voltage (THD-v) and total harmonic distortion in current (THD-i) were measured directly. Regular Maintenance and checks will obtain data that can be evaluated so that the system is always reliable. In the case of the PT Gojek Tokopedia Indonesia building, the measurement results on 20-05-2023 showed that the number of THDi in phase R at MDP is 64.56%. According to the IEEE std 519-1992 standard, the permissible electric current is 15%, so in the solution with Harmonic Filter (H.F.), the change in electric current in phase R becomes 12.37%. Using a harmonic filter in the inductor (L) value of 0.28 mH and capacitor (C) value of 2 mF, The power factor increases to 0.99 from 0.85. Because of this, every building manager and Maintenance must pay regular attention to the THD value according to applicable standards.
