Abstract

Mental health is an important issue in adolescent development because during adolescence there is a more complex and dynamic transition. Conflict with peers and family is a source of interpersonal stress for adolescents. However, at the same time, family and peers can also be the main source of support as an effort to prevent stress, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. To create mentally healthy teenagers, it is necessary to identify potential strategies, one of which is a virtual bootcamp program involving peers. The aim of this program is to promote mental health and improve peer-support capabilities for teenagers so that it is hoped that it can help create mentally healthy teenagers. The material provided is related to general issues regarding mental health; responses and actions related to adolescent mental health; self-healing; peer-support; and self-care. Participants consisted of 50 people with an age range of 15-27 years old, male and female. The effectiveness of implementing activities is known from the results of evaluating reactions and knowledge through pretests and posttests of training participants. The results of data analysis show that there is an increase in knowledge regarding peer-support and the skills possessed by adolescents to maximize their role as friends and promote mental health among their peers. It is hoped that this service article can provide information regarding the importance of adolescent mental health promotion programs, especially in overcoming the various pressures faced by adolescents.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of moral values in everyday life. Moral values aim to shape human character or morals into a good person. This study aims to describe the moral values contained in the novel Ning Anak Wayang by Niken and Anjar study: Sociology of Literature. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that researchers use the theory according to Wicaksono (2014: 276-281) which states that moral values consist of several sub-values, namely: the relationship between humans and their God, the relationship between humans and themselves, and the relationship between humans and other humans in the social sphere.

Abstract

Every individual has a need to build friendship relationships with other individuals as an important aspect of social life. Positive and supportive friendships have implications for improving mental well-being, and happiness, reducing stress levels, reducing depressive symptoms, and helping to reduce loneliness. Studies related to the impact of friendship in social relationships on mental health have been widely reviewed. However, studies on the underlying mechanisms such as the brain systems that influence friendships are limited. This literature review aims to overview how the brain works on friendship from a neuropsychological perspective. The research method uses a literature review approach with the manuscript writing method referring to narrative review. The literature review results found that the brain system has a crucial role in human social interactions such as understanding, feeling, and responding to friendship relationships. The parts of the brain that actively contribute to friendship relations are the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC), nucleus accumbens (NAcc); amygdala, hippocampus, superior parietal lobule (SPL), putamen, precentral gyrus, and posterior middle temporal gyrus (pMTG).
