Abstract

One of the therapies used in wound care is the betadine plant to accelerate wound healing. It contains active substances, including flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and alkaloids, which act as antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and antimicrobials. The type of research carried out was a literature review type. Literature search regarding the potential of betadine plant leaf extract (Jatropha multifida L) for wound healing using Google Scholar, Pubmed, Sci-Hub, and Science Direct. Articles were selected based on exclusion and inclusion criteria, resulting in a sample of 7 articles in Indonesian and English. The research results show that using betadine plants can heal cuts, post-tooth extraction wounds, and chemical burns. Administration is carried out two times a day with a treatment time of 1 to 4 weeks, and evaluation is done twice during the intervention. Wound treatment uses the betadine plant as an alternative therapy, which is helpful for wound healing. It is hoped that the betadine plant can be used as an alternative in wound care and can be applied by the community, especially for DM sufferers.

Abstract

Gagal Ginjal Kronik (GGK) terjadi akibat ginjal kehilangan fungsi dalam membuang racun. GGK bersifat menahun. Abstract

Patient satisfaction is an essential indicator of the quality of nursing care, particularly among individuals undergoing hemodialysis treatment. This literature review aims to identify the determinants influencing hemodialysis patients' satisfaction with nursing services. Literature searches were conducted through PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate for articles published between 2021 and 2025. From a total of 2,967 articles initially identified, nine studies met the inclusion criteria. The analysis revealed two primary factors significantly associated with patient satisfaction: nurses' caring behavior and therapeutic communication. Caring behavior includes empathy, attention, support, and the ability of nurses to meet both physical and emotional patient needs, while therapeutic communication refers to professional interactions that build trust and enhance patient understanding of the care process. Both factors were found to improve patients' perceptions of service quality and promote adherence to hemodialysis treatment. This review highlights the importance of strengthening caring competencies and therapeutic communication skills as key strategies to enhance the quality of nursing care in hemodialysis units.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: The increasing population of patients with end-stage kidney disease necessitates high-quality nursing services. Patient satisfaction in hemodialysis is a multidimensional construct encompassing physical, psychological, and technical aspects of care. Objective: To analyze patient satisfaction through a multidimensional approach and identify the dominant factor influencing satisfaction at Royal Prima General Hospital, Medan, in 2025.Methods: This quantitative study used a cross-sectional design. Total sampling was applied to 115 hemodialysis patients (Sample). Variables included nine dimensions of service measured via a multidimensional questionnaire (Instrument). Data were analyzed using univariate, bivariate (Chi-square), and multivariate (Logistic Regression) tests (Analysis). Results: Patients reported high satisfaction levels, categorized as very satisfied (52.5%) and satisfied (47.5%). All service dimensions significantly correlated with satisfaction (p≤ 0.05). Multivariate analysis identified medical care as the most dominant factor (p = 0.000; B = 0.104), indicating its critical role in shaping patient perceptions. Conclusion: Nursing service quality across multiple dimensions significantly drives patient satisfaction, with medical care being the most influential. Hospitals should focus on enhancing medical care, nurse responsiveness, and therapeutic communication to sustain service quality.
