Abstract

Competition between sibling relationships is inevitable. A little competition created between siblings is normal throughout the life span. This shows that the closeness between the two is close enough to give rise to many problems. However, this is not always good if it continues. Although in the end conflicts like this will disappear over time when each child reaches adulthood. Sibling rivalry starts from childhood. Every child who is not born as an only child will know about competition between siblings. This causes several changes in behavior towards a more negative direction. One of the negative attitudes produced by children is social jealousy between siblings which results in sudden and unusual changes in behavior. There are two factors that are generally known among the public, namely gender differences and birth age ranges. This research aims to find out and identify the factors that cause sibling rivalry in sibling relationships based on gender differences and birth age range. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The sample used in this study was 8 children with classifications, namely 4 pairs of children of the same gender and 4 pairs of children of different genders. The data collection technique used was in-depth and unstructured interviews submitted to each parent. For data analysis techniques using Miles and Huberman analysis techniques including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the research show that the problematic competition that occurs between siblings which causes social jealousy is caused by the close birth age range between one child and another. This is the cause of social jealousy that often occurs between sibling relationships. So arguments often easily arise over trivial things.

Abstract

Self-protection of children needs to be introduced from an early age in order to prevent unwanted things from happening. Thus it needs adult intervention in this case. The adults in question are teachers when they are at school and parents when they are at home. One form of protection and understanding of concepts that teachers need to introduce is boundaries in association. Association is not only limited to friendships that occur between boys and girls but also interactions that exist between children who have stepfathers. The stepfather as a foreign individual around the child because he does not have direct blood ties therefore they should not interact too intensely with the child. But that doesn't stop the stepfather from being close to his stepdaughter either. This study discusses the teacher's intervention in providing an understanding of the limits of association in girls with their stepfather. The type of research used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used in-depth interview techniques and unstructured questions which were carried out together with teachers at the school. The sample in this study was 1, 5-year-old girl with the initials FA. The results of the research show that there are several efforts by teachers to provide an understanding to children about the boundaries of interacting with stepfathers, namely introducing the concept of stepfathers first to children, then the teacher invites children to have direct interactions in class such ass telling stories which are then interspersed with several questions.

Abstract

Early childhood science learning must be adapted to the child's developmental stage. The science learning stage is still at the stage of recognizing and mixing colors. This research aims to determine the ability to identify science skills in early childhood through experimental activities of mixing colors at Al-Furqan Kindergarten. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation. The research results show that children's ability to experiment with science through color mixing activities is very good, marked by children's ability to experiment, namely by observing, classifying, comparing, measuring, communicating and concluding. This is caused by teachers involving children directly in science experiment activities, so that children are more excited and then start doing simple experiments by mixing colors. This science experiment activity through mixing colors goes through a process of preparation, implementation and evaluation. The teacher prepares what is needed for this activity and carries out the activity according to what has been planned, then evaluates what are the shortcomings for carrying out the next science experimental activity. Meanwhile, the science process skills are observing, classifying, comparing, measuring, communicating, experimenting and concluding.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that many schools facilitate outdoor learning activities as a means of developing naturalistic intelligence. Therefore, this research will examine whether Edu Farm is indeed effective if used as a way to increase naturalistic intelligence in young children in group B at the Sungai Rumbai Islamic Kindergarten. The research method used was qualitative with a case study approach on a sample of 12 children. Data collection was carried out by carrying out the observation and documentation stages. For data analysis using the Miles & Huberman technique which consists of 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research contribute to educators as an alternative to realizing naturalistic intelligence in early childhood by utilizing the surrounding environment as a means of education. Apart from that, from the research that has been carried out, information has been obtained that this activity can increase children's intelligence and build their knowledge through fun activities involving interactive activities. The latest in this research is that children are given the freedom to interact directly with farm animals. Apart from that, usually edu farm activities tend to be carried out at zoos, but this research carried out direct visits to livestock pens located around residents' homes.
