Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify whether there are differences in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities before and after the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Learning Model. The study was conducted on 14 fifth-grade students at SD 1 Karangmalang. Data were collected using a multiple-choice test to measure students' mathematical understanding. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design. Data analysis was performed using a paired sample t-test. The results of the study showed that the average score in the posttest was higher compared to the average score in the pretest, indicating an improvement in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities after the implementation of the STAD learning model. Furthermore, the research results also showed that the obtained significance value was 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. This indicates that there is a significant difference between the mathematical problem-solving abilities before and after the use of the STAD learning model

Abstract

Kelurahan Mangkang Wetan merupakan salah satu wilayah pesisir di Kecamatan Tugu, Kota Semarang yang mempunyai potensi sumber daya kelautan yang sangat besar, di antaranya adalah hasil tangkap nelayan, budidaya tambak, mangrove dan olahannya. Namun, Mangkang Wetan mempunyai permasalahan dalam pengelolaannya sehingga tidak dapat memberikan hasil yang maksimal untuk masyarakat. Oleh karena itu dilakukan program pengabdian dan pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis ekonomi biru dengan penerapan teknologi tepat guna bertenaga surya yang diterapkan pada budidaya tambak polikultur. Kegiatan pemberdayaan ini berlangsung selama bulan Juli – November 2023. Pemberdayaan yang dilakukan ini berfokus pada penerapan ekonomi biru dan teknologi tepat guna bertenaga surya untuk mendorong pertumbuhan berkelanjutan. Tujuannya adalah agar dapat meningkatkan kapasitas dan produktivitas Kelompok Ngebruk Lestari (KENARI) dan masyarakat. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan edukasi dan pelatihan. Hasil program pengabdian dan pemberdayaan menunjukan adanya peningkatan kapasitas sehingga terdapat perbaikan pengelolaan sumber daya. Selain itu, program ini juga meningkatkan produktivitas KENARI dan masyarakat melalui penerapan ekonomi biru dan teknologi tepat guna sehingga meningkatkan prosyeksi pendapatan masyarakat.

Abstract

This literature review examines the relationship between student well-being and mathematical problem-solving skills, drawing on both global and Indonesian studies. Using Polya's problem-solving framework, Fredrickson's broaden-and-build theory, and SciSpace-assisted thematic analysis, the study synthesizes its findings. Results show significant correlations, notably between resilience and problem-solving ability (R = 0.819), with emotionally stable students demonstrating better cognitive flexibility and strategic adaptation. Three key mediators were identified: social support (especially in collectivist cultures), self-efficacy, and classroom emotional climate. Indonesian-specific findings reveal that academic pressure intensifies anxiety's negative impact on non-routine problem-solving. This review proposes three actionable recommendations: (1) teacher training in emotion-responsive pedagogy, (2) integration of metacognitive and coping strategies, and (3) school-based well-being interventions. Limitations include the dominance of correlational studies and limited socioeconomic factor consideration. Future research is encouraged to apply longitudinal designs and culturally adapted measurement tools to understand the dynamic between emotional states and problem-solving in education.
