Abstract

Learning to write poetry using a contextual approach to direct object observation techniques for PGSD students is an approach that could help elementary school students understand poetry writing. The purpose in this study in this study were third semester PGSD students at IKIP Siliwangi Cimahi. The method used in this study is quantitative research with the one-group pretest-posttest method. The population in this study was the PGSD students IKIP Siliwangi  in Cimahi with a sample of 33 students. The instrument in this study was observation and a test. Based on the results of data analysis carried out with the average score of learning before using the contextual approach of direct object observation techniques and after using the contextual approach of direct object observation technique, it was revealed that there was a significant improvement as evidenced by the results of data analysis carried out with the average score of learning before using the contextual method direct object observation technique with the total score was 40.90 and after using contextual method direct object observation technique with the total score was 68.48.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman di abad ke-21 menuntut peserta didik untuk memiliki life skill yang berguna bagi kehidupannya, salahsatu yaitu keterampilan berpikir kritis. Keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat dilatihkan pada peserta didik melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran yang tepat, salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yaitu model pembelajaran STEM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada pelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran STEM pada peserta didik kelas VI SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental dengan  desain one group pretest-posttest. Adapun subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar dengan jumlah jumlah 24 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalahsoal tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dan lembar observasi. Berdasarkah hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, dengan kata lain terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas VI setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran STEM.

Abstract

The creative thinking skills of Indonesian citizens are ranked 115th out of 139 countries, meaning that the creative thinking skills of the Indonesian state are low. This needs to be overcome by giving treatment to everyone, one of which is through education. The research conducted aims to determine creative thinking skills in science learning for class V SD by applying the Read; Answer; Discuss; Explain and Create (RADEC) learning models. In this study, the researcher used qualitative methods with a population of fifth grades at elementary school Cisarua areas and a samples of 31. The results showed that fifth grade students had difficulties in improving creative thinking skills on indicators of fluent thinking and elaboration skills, but this can be overcome by applying them. RADEC learning model. The application of the RADEC learning model produces a positive response to science learning in improving creative thinking skills
