Abstract

Indonesia, disasters frequently occur, so a good understanding of disaster mitigation is needed. Researchers have developed a learning innovation in previous research to increase students' understanding of disaster mitigation. This innovation is in the form of community-based web-learning. This web learning has been declared suitable for use. Further studies are needed to determine the impact on students' understanding of disaster mitigation. This research aims to analyze the effect of community-based web-learning on higher education students' understanding of disaster mitigation. This research uses a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control-group design. The research sample consisted of 200 university students. Students' understanding of disaster mitigation is measured using an essay test. The data analysis process uses the SPSS 26 application, including descriptive tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, and independent t-tests. The research results found a significant difference in the average understanding of disaster mitigation for university students who studied using community-based web-learning media and those who studied using conventional learning models. Students who use web-based learning have a higher average than those who study in conventional classes. This result proves that community-based web learning can increase higher education students' understanding of disaster mitigation.

Abstract

Abstrak - Kebakaran dapat dianggap sebagai satu diantara berbagai jenis musibah karena sifatnya yang membahayakan lingkungan dan masyarakat serta sulit dikendalikan. Kebakaran merupakan suatu insiden yang dapat membahayakan dan mengganggu kelangsungan hidup manusia, dan dapat terjadi di berbagai tempat seperti gedung, perumahan, dan hutan. Pada saat ini, orang – orang keluar bekerja dari pagi hingga sore hari meninggalkan rumah atau tempat tinggal cukup lama. Sehingga musibah seperti kebakaran kadang tak bisa diatasi saat meninggalkan rumah. Meskipun demikian, kebakaran dapat dihindari dengan berbagai cara. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sistem yang mampu mendeteksi dan melakukan proteksi dini jika terjadi kebakaran. Sistem yang digunakan tersebut terdiri dari sensor api, asap dan suhu yang diintegrasikan dengan Internet of Things (IoT) menggunakan ESP32. Dimana sensor api dapat mendeteksi api hingga jarak 160 cm pada sudut 0⁰ dan saat sudut 90⁰ hanya pada jarak 12 cm. Sehingga semakin besar sudut antara detektor sensor api dengan sumber api, maka pembacaan sensor menjadi berkurang. Sensor asap mendeteksi asap saat kadar asap mencapai 402 PPM serta sensor suhu yang memberikan notifikasi ke android saat mendeteksi suhu melebihi 41.8 ⁰C. Sensor suhu juga memiliki tingkat pembacaan yang sangat akurat karena dapat melakukan update yang lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan alat ukur suhu HTC-1. Sehingga saat terdeteksi adanya kebakaran, dapat langsung melakukan pencegahan dengan adanya notifikasi ke aplikasi android, alarm berupa buzzer dan memberikan proteksi menggunakan relay secara cepat dan efektif serta melakukan kontrol jendela menggunakan motor servo secara IoT

Abstract

This study aims to develop bar soap by utilizing Moringa Oleifera leaf extract as the main active ingredient. Moringa leaves are known to be rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that are beneficial for skin health. Tests were conducted to evaluate the physical, chemical, and microbiological characteristics of the resulting bar soap. The results showed that bar soap from Moringa leaf extract has good cleaning properties, high antioxidant content, and positive effects on skin health, including hydration and free radical protection. Therefore, this bar soap has the potential to be an effective natural skin care product
