Abstract

Bendahara Sub District is currently promoting human empowerment, as instructed by the Government of Aceh Tamiang. Human empowerment, especially for women, began this year by the Chairperson of Family Welfare Development (PKK). The service team conducted a survey in Bendahara Sub District, where it was found that many people did not have work, even found that many teenagers who had finished college did not have a job, this was also recognized by Datok Penghulu. The method used was through the Kasab training for women, who then opened a business for Kasab products that had been obtained. The target to be achieved is to increase the economic income of the residents of Bendahara Sub District, starting from the improvement of the economic opinion of the women who have been trained and the transfer of technology and knowledge between lecturer and partners so as to create empathy and sympathy between partners and lecturers. Targets can be accomplished by training and mentoring in managing Kasab product business

Abstract

This PKM is motivated by the inadequate empowerment of PKK cadres in Aceh Tamiang Regency in utilizing the coral environment in their respective villages and the lack of maximum knowledge of cadres in cultivating potential plants through the tabulakar and tabulampot systems. The purpose of this PKM is to train PKK cadres in Aceh Tamiang Regency to maximize the potential of the yard in rural areas by using the tabulampot system so as to increase community welfare with a creative economic system. The method of implementing this PKM activity is to use the method of applying science and technology which is carried out with a system of training and mentoring for tabulampot activities. The results of PKM that have been achieved are increasing the knowledge and skills of PKK cadres in Aceh Tamiang Regency in cultivating potential plants through the system and tabulampot.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dipicu oleh kurangnya pemahaman dan keterampilan guru SMP dalam merancang serta menerapkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka. Misi dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru SMP dalam merancang serta menerapkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di SMPN 6 Kota Langsa dengan melibatkan 30 guru. Kegiatan tersebut mencakup penyelenggaraan seminar dan pelatihan bagi para guru. Hasil dari upaya ini mencatatkan skor rata-rata pemahaman guru tentang kurikulum merdeka sebesar 86,37, skor rata-rata kemampuan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk siswa SMP sebesar 83,47, serta skor rata-rata kemampuan guru dalam menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis teknologi khusus untuk jenjang SMP sebesar 81,93. Fakta ini menegaskan bahwa para guru telah berhasil mengembangkan dan mengaplikasikan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang sejajar dengan kurikulum merdeka.

Abstract

A thermoelectric generator is an electrical generator device that converts heat energy into electricity directly based on the Seebeck effect method, namely if two different metals are connected at one end, then given a different temperature at the connection, there will be a voltage difference at the other end. with the other end, this study uses peltier tec-12706, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the temperature difference between the cold side and the hot side of the varied heatsink/fin designs. This thermoelectric component is coated by a thin ceramic that contains a bismuth telluride rod inside. When in supply the dc voltage is 12volt-15volt and the current is 2-5a. The cooling box material is covered with styrofoam, with a heat sink in the form of a heat sink fan. Variations are made on the amount of thermoelectric used. Data retrieval is done by installing a voltmeter, ammeter and thermocouple in a predetermined position then each measuring instrument will display the data. The data is then processed using the Microsoft Excel program which can produce graphs. With the form of a graph, discussion and conclusion can be done easily

Abstract

Oil, natural gas, and coal are non-renewable fossil energy sources. The limited availability of non-renewable fossil fuels has prompted countries worldwide to develop technologies that harness energy from renewable sources. One of these renewable energy sources is biofuel, which includes bioethanol and biodiesel. Currently, the Co-Pyrolysis method has been widely developed for waste processing. The Co-Pyrolysis method aims to extract energy content from a mixture of raw materials. The varying percentage of raw material mixtures can significantly influence the resulting products. Obtaining the characteristics of raw materials, the differences in temperature distribution graphs for each percentage of the raw material mixture, and achieving optimum product yield are the objectives of the Co-Pyrolysis process. Based on the data from the heating process, it has been found that an excellent product can be obtained from heating a mixture of TKKS (30%) and PS (70%) at 500 °C for 1 hour, resulting in a product yield of 68%.

Abstract

Energi merupakan salah satu aspek kunci dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan dan keberlanjutan kehidupan manusia di planet ini. Namun, kebutuhan akan energi terus meningkat seiring dengan pertumbuhan populasi dan perkembangan ekonomi. Dalam beberapa dekade terakhir, peningkatan penggunaan bahan bakar fosil sebagai sumber energi utama telah memberikan dampak negatif yang signifikan terhadap lingkungan, seperti perubahan iklim dan polusi udara. Oleh karena itu, pencarian solusi energi yang berkelanjutan dan ramah lingkungan telah menjadi prioritas global. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada masyarakat Desa Baroh, Kota Langsa, dalam pembuatan alat pengolahan kotoran sapi menjadi biogas. Kotoran sapi yang seringkali dianggap sebagai limbah ternak dapat diubah menjadi sumber energi yang berkelanjutan melalui proses biogas. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan potensi sumber daya alam yang ada di sekitar mereka untuk kepentingan energi dan lingkungan. Metodologi pelatihan meliputi pengenalan konsep dasar biogas, pemilihan dan persiapan bahan baku, pembuatan dan perawatan reaktor biogas, serta penggunaan dan pemeliharaan sistem biogas. Selama pelatihan, peserta diajarkan cara mengidentifikasi dan mengatasi masalah umum yang mungkin timbul selama proses produksi biogas. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat Desa Baroh dalam memanfaatkan kotoran sapi sebagai sumber energi alternatif yang ramah lingkungan. Dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperoleh melalui pelatihan ini, diharapkan masyarakat dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup mereka sambil berkontribusi pada perlindungan lingkungan dan pengurangan ketergantungan pada bahan bakar fosil.

Abstract

Seumatang Muda Itam Village in East Aceh has significant potential in the fisheries sector but faces challenges due to limited processing innovation and low product value. This community service program aims to empower residents by introducing the traditional Acehnese spiced dried fish processing method and innovative modern drying equipment. Through this training, the community's skills and understanding have significantly improved, particularly in processing tenggiri fish. Evaluations show that 78% of participants found the program highly beneficial, with 73% indicating that the modern drying equipment was effective. These results demonstrate that appropriate technology can enhance the quality and market value of dried fish products. The program also opens up broader market opportunities, including through e-commerce, with the expectation of continued positive impacts for the community. These findings serve as a successful model of empowerment through technological innovation and local product processing in coastal areas.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low quality of the welfare of the community's family during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this research is to empower women through a team that drives family welfare empowerment in improving the quality of life towards a prosperous family during the Covid 19 Pandemic. The approach used in this research is participatory which actively involves all research subjects to determine programs that are right on target, practically oriented, empowering and sustainable. The results of the study state that the empowerment of women and housewives as small business actors in Aceh Tamiang requires cooperation from the government and government partners, namely TP PKK which plays a very significant role in addition to the private sector and the community so that it is maximized. This empowerment also focuses on handling their difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic with digital transformation of production and marketing as well as continuous assistance.

Abstract

Pengeringan terasi merupakan salah satu langkah penting dalam produksi terasi, produk olahan tradisional yang menjadi mata pencaharian utama bagi masyarakat Kampung Baroh, Langsa. Namun, metode pengeringan tradisional yang digunakan oleh masyarakat seringkali tidak efisien, memakan waktu lama, dan kurang higienis. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat pengering terasi yang sederhana, efisien, dan mudah digunakan oleh masyarakat Kampung Baroh dengan tujuan meningkatkan kualitas produksi dan pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal. Baroh Langsa Lama, Kec Langsa Lama, Kota Langsa. Metode pengembangan alat pengering terasi melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat setempat. Tim pengabdian bekerja sama dengan masyarakat Kampung Baroh dalam merancang, menguji, dan memperbaiki prototipe alat pengering terasi. Alat ini didesain agar sesuai dengan kondisi lingkungan dan budaya setempat, serta memenuhi standar keamanan pangan dan sanitasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan alat pengering terasi yang dikembangkan telah menghasilkan terasi dengan kualitas yang baik dalam hal tekstur, rasa, dan kebersihan. Selain itu, alat ini juga mempercepat proses pengeringan yang sebelumnya memakan waktu berhari-hari menjadi hanya dalam waktu 8 jam saja. Dampak positif keberadaan alat adalah peningkatan produktifitas masyarakat Kampung Baroh yang dapat memasok terasi lebih cepat ke pasar lokal dan regional.

Abstract

Global climate change causes environmental temperatures to rise resulting in thermal comfort problems in humans. Thermal comfort is needed by humans in their daily lives. If thermal comfort is not met properly, it can inhibit activity, and reduce the quality of life. Humans spend 87% of their time in the building performing various activities. To improve thermal comfort in the building, air conditioning systems such as air conditioners are needed, but increased use of air conditioners will increase electricity consumption. Samudra University's multipurpose building with a glass envelope and orientation of the building in the direction of the rising sun results in direct solar radiation entering the building. The wave nature of solar radiation when it enters the glass becomes a short wave and cannot return through the glass to get out so the temperature inside increases. To minimize radiation entering the building, it is necessary to add a green facade that can absorb solar radiation heat. However, studies on the effect of green facades on buildings with glass material envelopes are still unknown. The purpose of this research is to examine how the influence of solar radiation entering the Samudra University multipurpose building on thermal comfort with experimental study methods and MATLAB simulations to obtain a thermal comfort index. The results showed that with the green façade, the indoor temperature at 12:46 pm was 38.16 ºC in the part planted with plants, while the top of the room was the hottest part because at the top there was no obstruction from the sun on the roof of the building. Based on the simulation results show that the green façade of heat entering the building undergoes absorption first so that the temperature inside the building is lower than the environment which will improve thermal comfort.
