Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi fenomena campur kode (code-switching) antara Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris pada akun TikTok @Mrs.Corbuzier. Akun ini dipilih karena popularitasnya yang tinggi dan penggunaannya yang konsisten dari kedua bahasa dalam konten yang disajikan. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis konten dari video TikTok yang diposting oleh akun tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa campur kode digunakan dalam berbagai konteks untuk tujuan komunikasi yang berbeda, seperti penekanan pesan, menunjukkan identitas bilingual pemilik akun, dan menarik perhatian audiens. This study explores the phenomenon of code-switching between Indonesian and English on the TikTok account @Mrs.Corbuzier. This account was chosen due to its high popularity and consistent use of both languages in the content presented. This study uses a qualitative method with content analysis of the TikTok videos posted by the account. The results show that code-mixing is used in various contexts for different communication purposes, such as message emphasis, showing the account owner's bilingual identity, and attracting audience attention

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Text-to-Speech (TTS) media in enhancing Arabic listening (istima’) and speaking (kalam) skills among grade XI students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Cimahi. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the research compared student performance in experimental and control groups before and after the integration of TTS media in the learning process. Pre-test results indicated marginally higher average scores in the experimental group compared to the control group. Following the intervention, the experimental group demonstrated significant improvement, particularly in speaking skills, achieving an average score of 85.72, compared to 84.89 in the control group. Conversely, listening skills showed a slight advantage for the control group post-intervention. Statistical analysis confirmed that the use of TTS media significantly enhanced students’ speaking and listening abilities, with a more pronounced effect on speaking proficiency. These findings suggest that TTS media is an effective tool for supporting the development of Arabic language skills, especially in improving oral communication.
