Abstract

Purpose — This research focused on examining the influence of Islamic work ethics on work engagement and performance among civil servants in Indonesia. Moreover, the study explored the mediating effect of work engagement.Method — For this study, Muslim civil servants working in Makassar, Indonesia were selected as participants. To enhance the precision of the results, specific criteria for the respondents were established, including: (1) Civil servants holding a permanent position (including honorary roles); and (2) civil servants with a minimum of three years of work experience. A total of 150 responses were obtained. The survey was conducted using Google Forms, and the data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) or Partial Least Square (PLS) PLS-SEM Version 3.0.Result — Islamic work ethics positively and significantly influence the work engagement and performance of civil servants in South Sulawesi. Concurrently, work engagement positively and significantly impacts the performance of these civil servants. Additionally, work engagement serves as a significant mediator in the relationship between Islamic work ethics and performance.Novelty  — This research utilized Islamic work ethics derived from Islamic perspective literature to examine their influence on work engagement and performance among civil servants in Indonesia. Furthermore, the study investigated the mediating role of work engagement to determine its significance in the context of public service.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruhhard skilldan soft skillterhadap kinerja pegawai pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Luwu Utara.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai yang bekerja pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Luwu Utara sebanyak 55 orang pegawai. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan sampel jenuh. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan program IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) 26 for windows. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah di lakukan bahwa hasil Soft Skillberpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja Pegawai. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik soft skillyang pegawai semakin tinggi kinerja Pegawai Dinas Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Luwu Utara dan Hard Skillberpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pegawai. Hal ini semakin tinggi hard skillmaka kinerja Pegawai Dinas Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Luwu Utara mengalami Peningkatan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pemungutan pajak hotel dalam meningkatkan Pendapatan Asli Daerah Kabupaten Pangkep selama periode empat tahun terakhir (2018-2021). Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi data target dan realisasi pajak hotel, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dengan objek penelitian di Kantor Badan Pendapatan Asli Daerah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara umum, efektivitas pemungutan pajak hotel telah terbukti efektif, meskipun terdapat beberapa penurunan. Diharapkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya kepatuhan dalam membayar pajak hotel dapat meningkat. Proses pemungutan pajak hotel juga telah mengikuti tata cara dan ketentuan yang berlaku dengan menerapkan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) dalam bidang pajak hotel.
