Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of peer-to-peer supervision in developing teacher competencies at SMPN 17 Mataram and MTSN 3 Mataram. This research method employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the study indicate that peer-to-peer supervision is effective in developing various teacher competencies, such as collaboration, communication, pedagogical knowledge, and technology integration. The positive outcomes include improved teacher competencies, conducive learning environments, and increased teacher comfort in facing evaluations. However, challenges include the lack of objectivity in assessments, suboptimal follow-up after supervision, and absence of an official schedule, affecting effectiveness. The implications emphasize the importance of implementing peer-to-peer supervision to enhance the quality of education in secondary schools. Future research could focus on addressing challenges and further exploring the impact of peer-to-peer supervision.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka memungkinkan lingkungan belajar yang terintegrasi, yang memungkinkan guru untuk menjadi inovatif dan kreatif dalam proses pembelajaran. Pada akhirnya, ini dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru dengan menciptakan suasana belajar yang efektif dan menyenangkan bagi siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana menerapkan lingkungan belajar terintegrasi dengan kurikulum merdeka dan bagaimana hal itu berdampak pada kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode penelitian lapangan. Untuk mengumpulkan data, observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan diskusi fokus grup (FGD) dengan guru digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan lingkungan belajar terintegrasi dengan kurikulum merdeka telah meningkatkan kinerja guru. Guru lebih leluasa untuk menggunakan berbagai sumber belajar, merancang pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa, dan menerapkan pendekatan pengajaran yang inovatif. Selain itu, kondisi sekolah yang ramah dan berkolaborasi meningkatkan kemampuan dan keinginan guru untuk bekerja. Namun, masih ada beberapa masalah yang harus diselesaikan. Ini termasuk kebutuhan akan pelatihan terus-menerus bagi guru, ketersediaan sumber daya yang memadai, dan penyesuaian sistem evaluasi kinerja guru.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of peer to peer supervision in developing teacher competency at SMPN 17 Mataram and MTSN 3 Mataram, Sekarbela sub-district. This research uses qualitative research methods to produce descriptive data. The data in this research consists of two types, namely; primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques use; 1) Observation 2) Interview 3) Documentation. The data analysis techniques that researchers use are; Data collection coincides with the research process, presenting data, reducing data and drawing conclusions. The techniques used to test the validity of the data are; source triangulation and time triangulation. The research results show that the implementation of peer to peer supervision at SMPN 17 Mataram and MTSN 3 Mataram involves various forms, such as determining teaching administration and assessing learning tools. Teacher competencies developed through peer supervision include collaboration skills, communication, pedagogical knowledge, and the use of technology at SMPN 17 Mataram, as well as self-reflection skills, collaboration, active learning skills, and pedagogical knowledge at MTSN 3 Mataram
