Abstract

Penyandang disabilitas psikososial mental, dalam hal ini Orang Dengan Gangguan Jiwa (ODGJ), sudah menjadi fenomena sosial yang tidak menarik perhatian publik, namun banyak dilirik politisi terutama saat pemilu. Setidaknya ada 3.500 ODGJ dalam daftar pemilih pada pemilu 2019. Namun, netizen media baru, khususnya pengguna YouTube, juga melirik dan menjadikan fenomena ODGJ sebagai komoditas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konten ODGJ dari perspektif ekonomi politik di media baru. Dengan mengambil beberapa sample konten channel Youtube yang mengangkat ODGJ sebagai konten utama. Penggunaan media baru Youtube sebagai media yang menarik empati sosial melalui konten sosial yang melibatkan ODGJ mendapat respon yang baik di masyarakat sehingga channel youtube dengan konten yang melibatkan ODGJ sebagai objeknya memiliki jumlah viewer, like dan followers yang sangat besar. membuat Youtube dapat menghasilkan uang melalui sistem monetisasi dari iklan yang ditampilkan. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui observasi konten di channel Youtube dengan tema ODGJ sebagai objek utamanya, dan melalui studi literatur untuk menganalisis tren pesan sosial yang ditampilkan di konten tersebut. Alhasil, Youtube menjadi wadah yang ampuh untuk menyampaikan pesan sosial kepada masyarakat melalui penderita ODGJ, padahal sebenarnya ada komodifikasi pekerja, penonton, dan konten melalui monetisasi di platform youtube.

Abstract

The tempo magazine is one example of mass media that is much in demand by the public. The contents are interesting, making the magazine still exist today. The widespread use of caricature drawings on uncover ethical magazine covers raises polemic for the public, but also to find caricature meaning on the cover of the September 16, 2019 edition of Tempo, to uncover what the purpose of using pictures or messages to look for is to create a magazine cover, research methods used is qualitative with Roland Barthes theory where Roland Barthes theory discusses semiotics and myths. One of the results of this research is the balanced tempo magazine in conveying the conclusions of a story. It is hoped that the magazine will continue to be consistent in presenting balanced and factual data.

Abstract

Learner motivation in participating in learning is very necessary. Motivation is a condition that causes or generates certain behaviours and gives direction and resilience to these behaviours. Based on observations that the author has made at SMK Negeri 4 Kerinci, PJOK learning activities have not been carried out properly according to the demands of the curriculum. This is indicated by the activity of students in participating in PJOK learning which lacks the attention and supervision of the PJOK teacher. The purpose of the study was to obtain information and an overview of the review of student motivation in PJOK Learning at SMK Negeri 4 Kerinci. This type of research is classified in the type of descriptive research that aims to describe and interpret the data as it is. The population in this study were all class X students of SMK N 4 Kerinci. Taking random sampling technique. After carrying out random sampling activities above, the selected sample in this study was class X OTKP, totalling 32 students. Based on the results of research on "Review of Student Motivation in Pjok Learning at SMK Negeri 4 Kerinci", it can be concluded: Review of Student Motivation in Pjok Learning at SMK Negeri 4 Kerinci is in the very good category with an achievement of 84.035% classified as very good. From the results of data analysis and description of the results of the review at SMK Negeri 4 Kerinci on indicators of the quality of facilities and infrastructure, classified as excellent with the acquisition of mean = 6.75 with an achievement of 96.43%. From the results of data analysis and description of the results of the review of facilities and infrastructure development on the indicators of facilities and infrastructure, classified as good with the acquisition of mean = 9.31 with 71.64% achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yaitu analis semiotik Charles Sanders Pierce. Metode semiotik, yaitu metode analitis untuk menilai signifikasi. Peneliti menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme. Data diperoleh melalui pemilihan adegan di film "Dirty Vote" dimana ada unsur-unsur yang berkaitan dengan kecurangan pra pemilu dan bukti intervensi kekuasaan terhadap pemilu 2024 terkhusus pemilu presiden. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa film ini secara gamblang menekankan bahwa intervensi pemerintah pada pemilu kali ini sangat diperlihatkan secara vulgar ke masyarakat, dimulai dari kejanggalan putusan mahkamah konstitusi, pejabat daerah yang tidak netral, aparatur negara yang ikut-ikutan bersikap tidak netral, serta pada level menteri sekalipun diduga menggunakan fasilitas negara untuk ikut kampanye mendukung salah satu pasangan calon, dan pada level badan penyelenggaraan pemilu pun juga tidak luput dari berbagai pelanggaran yang terjadi pada proses pra pemilu.

Abstract

Film pendek berjudul "Wedok" mengangkat isu kesetaraan gender dengan mengisahkan seorang wanita yang terjebak dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya di dapur, tetapi mendambakan kebebasan untuk mendapatkan pendidikan. Ia hidup patuh dan tidak memiliki hak, sehingga hanya berperan sebagai wanita dapur biasa. Namun, berkat tekad yang kuat, ia tetap bisa belajar secara otodidak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis makna modernisasi perempuan Jawa yang terkandung dalam film tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode semiotika dari Roland Barthes yang mengkaji mengenai makna denotasi, makna konotasi dan mitos. Makna denotasi yang ditemukan dalam film pendek Wedok yaitu mengenai potret perubahan perempuan jawa dari masa ke masa, yaitu dari zaman tradisional hingga zaman modern. Perubahan tersebut merupakan perubahan ke arah yang lebih maju. Sedangkan makna konotasi nya yaitu Adanya modernisasi membawa perubahan yang lebih baik bagi perempuan jawa. Mitos yang peneliti temukan pada film pendek Wedok yaitu Modernisasi bagi perempuan jawa membawa perempuan jawa terlepas dari belenggu kungkungan dan tuntutan budaya jawa yang mengharuskan perempuan jawa terus termarginalkan. Modernisasi dalam film Wedok terlihat bagaimana perubahan perempuan dalam hal mendapatkan pendidikan dan perubahan pola pikir orang tua dalam mendidik dan memperlakukan anak perempuannya. Anak laki-laki dan anak perempuan di dalam keluarga tidak lagi di beda-bedakan, artinya mereka sudah memiliki kedudukan yang sama.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal how the creativity and innovation of the @ntvnews.id editorial team play a role in the process of commodifying news into short videos that are adjusted to the characteristics of Instagram social media. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the editorial team modifies news into interesting visual content that is in accordance with the characteristics of the social media audience. Innovation is seen from the video format, narrative style, and the use of platform algorithms. The division of specialized tasks supports production efficiency. These findings confirm that creativity and innovation are important strategies in maintaining the existence of digital media.

Abstract

The decline in public trust toward Indonesia’s judiciary largely driven by corruption scandals involving court officials has underscored the urgent need for the Public Relations division of the Supreme Court of Indonesia (Humas Mahkamah Agung RI) to adopt more effective communication strategies. This research focuses on examining how Humas Mahkamah Agung utilizes social media, specifically the Instagram account @humasmahkamahagung, to build and reinforce a positive image of the judiciary. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through interviews, field observations, and supporting documentation. The findings reveal that Instagram serves as a strategic visual communication platform where institutional messages are shared in an organized manner, combining positive storytelling, engaging visuals, and consistent publication schedules. Despite the current limitations in facilitating two-way interactions with the public, this communication approach has successfully contributed to enhancing the public image of the judiciary. Contributing factors to this success include the availability of high- quality visual content and the presence of a professional PR team, while the main challenge remains the limited direct engagement with the public. Ultimately, this research highlights the essential role of digital communication strategies in shaping and maintaining the reputation of public institutions, especially in the era of social media that demands transparency, speed, and responsiveness to evolving legal issues.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of youth violence and racial discrimination in the film Pengepungan di Bukit Duri (2025) using Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic approach. The film highlights complex social issues such as juvenile delinquency, marginalization, and structural violence against the Chinese ethnic minority in Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this research identifies and interprets visual signs, dialogues, and narratives that signify violence and discrimination. The findings show that the film represents social disintegration through symbols of physical violence, psychological pressure, and social injustice toward minority groups. This research is expected to contribute to academic discourse in visual communication studies and raise social awareness of discrimination and violence in media.

Abstract

In the current era of digital marketing, many brands increasingly utilize public figures to enhance brand image and capture consumer attention, especially among young adults who are active on social media. This study seeks to explore the extent to which personal branding impacts the purchase intention of Jennskin deodorant products among young adult communities. A quantitative approach was applied through a survey method involving 100 participants aged 20 to 35. The research instrument a structured questionnaire was validated and tested for reliability to ensure data accuracy. The data were then analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings reveal that personal branding has a statistically significant effect on purchase intention. The regression coefficient value of 0.243 and a significance level of 0.000 indicate a strong positive relationship. Additionally, the R Square value of 0.437 implies that 43.7% of the variation in purchase intention can be attributed to personal branding, while the remaining 56.3% may result from other external factors. In summary, personal branding plays a key role in influencing consumer buying interest, particularly within young adult groups who are frequently exposed to public figures through digital platforms. Keywords: Personal Branding, Purchase Intention, Young Adults  Abstrak Dalam era pemasaran digital saat ini, penggunaan figur publik semakin banyak dimanfaatkan oleh berbagai merek untuk memperkuat citra produk dan menarik perhatian konsumen, terutama kelompok dewasa muda yang aktif menggunakan media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh personal branding terhadap minat beli produk deodorant Jennskin di kalangan komunitas dewasa muda.Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode survei kepada 100 responden berusia 20–35 tahun. Instrumen kuesioner yang digunakan telah melewati uji validitas dan reliabilitas untuk memastikan kelayakan data. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa personal branding berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap minat beli. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 0,243 dan signifikansi 0,000, yang mengindikasikan adanya hubungan positif. Nilai R Square sebesar 0,437 menunjukkan bahwa 43,7% variasi minat beli dapat dijelaskan oleh personal branding, sementara sisanya disebabkan oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini. Kesimpulannya, personal branding menjadi faktor penting dalam membentuk keputusan konsumen untuk membeli, khususnya bagi kelompok dewasa muda yang sangat terpapar oleh konten media digital. Abstract

The phenomenon of body shaming remains widespread in Indonesian society and is often considered normal as a form of humor, even though it has serious psychological impacts on victims. Film, as a medium of mass communication, can represent this phenomenon through scenes, dialogues, and visual symbols. This study aims to examine the meaning of body shaming in the Indonesian version of 200 Pounds Beauty using Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic theory. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a constructivist paradigm. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and literature review. From 48 observed scenes, 10 scenes containing signs of body shaming were selected for further analysis. The analysis shows that body shaming in the film encompasses five elements: social cognition, self-evaluation, emotional, behavioral, and psychological. The findings highlight that the film not only reflects narrow beauty standards but also illustrates the profound social and psychological impacts experienced by victims of body shaming.
