Abstract

This research discusses the phenomenon of sexual violence against children in Indonesia with a focus on a case involving an elementary school student in Serang, Banten. Through a framing analysis approach, this research explores how the media, especially Detik.com and Radar Banten, frame news about the case. The research results show that psychological, social and environmental factors influence perpetrators of sexual violence in targeting minors or their own children. The framing of reports by the media also plays an important role in shaping public perceptions about the case, by highlighting aspects such as the perpetrator's psychological condition, the role of parents, and the urgency in handling sexual violence cases. The implications of this research are the importance of a deeper understanding of the dynamics of the relationship between perpetrators and victims of sexual violence, as well as the need for preventive measures and stronger law enforcement to protect children from sexual violence.

Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology has significantly altered the ways adolescents interact and establish social relationships, particularly through social media. This study aims to examine the impact of human relations on adolescents' interactions and behaviors on social media platforms, taking into account psychological, sociological, and cultural dimensions. Employing a qualitative approach with a literature review method, this research explores interaction patterns among adolescents on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. The findings reveal that social media creates virtual spaces that enhance social networks but also pose risks such as reduced quality of face-to-face interactions, social anxiety, and mental health issues. This study emphasizes how the intense use of social media reshapes traditional communication patterns and influences adolescents' behavior and self-concept. Based on these findings, strategic recommendations are proposed for parents, educators, and policymakers to guide healthy social media use, balance its benefits and drawbacks, and foster the development of more meaningful social relationships among adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the function of brand ambassadors in influencing consumer purchasing choices through a case study of the selection of South Korean actor, Song Joong Ki, as the brand ambassador of the Scarlett Whitening product. Brand ambassador is a strategy in marketing communication aimed at strengthening brand image and establishing an emotional connection between consumers and products. In this study, the approach used is qualitative with a literature review method that studies various relevant academic sources in the last five years. The findings of this study indicate that the appointment of Song Joong Ki as a brand ambassador has a significant impact on increasing brand awareness, product credibility, and also driving consumer purchasing decisions. Visual appeal, good reputation, and high levels of trust in public figures such as Song Joong Ki are the main factors that strengthen the product image in the eyes of consumers. This approach has proven successful in reaching a wider audience, especially among young people who are influenced by the Korean Wave phenomenon. This study underlines that the use of famous international celebrities as brand ambassadors can increase the competitiveness of local brands amidst increasingly tight competition in the cosmetics industry.
