Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and is a health problem that still needs serious attention from the government and all levels of society because it can cause death. This study aims to determine the rationale for the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis in adult patients at the Lung Disease Polyclinic at the Siantar City Army Hospital in 2021 which refers to the National Guidelines for Tuberculosis Management of the Indonesian Ministry of Health and treatment standards from WHO. This research is a non-experimental type with a descriptive evaluative design with retrospective data collection. The study was conducted using the medical records of adult pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the outpatient installation at the Pematang Siantar City Army Hospital in 2021. The results showed that the most common cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in adult patients were male patients, namely 61.22%, the diagnosis was for each patient suspected of pulmonary tuberculosis, a chest X-ray examination and smear test were carried out, pulmonary tuberculosis was treated using two anti-tuberculosis drugs, namely OAT-kombipak and OAT-FDC, 1 case was found with a duration of administration of anti-kombipak anti-tuberculosis drugs that did not comply with standard treatment and patients who received treatment received a score recovery of 97.96% and patients who failed treatment by 2.04%.

Abstract

Elderly Posyandu is an integrated service post for the elderly in a certain area that has been agreed upon, which is driven by the community where they can get health services. This study aims to determine the knowledge of the elderly about the elderly Posyandu in the Village of Sinar Sabungan, District of Bonatua Lunasi, Tobasa Regency. This research method is descriptive, where the elderly population is 57 people, the sampling technique is done by total sampling, and the sample that meets the research criteria and fills out a questionnaire is 57 respondents. Data collection was carried out from 21 April 2021 to 24 May 2021 using a questionnaire which consisted of two parts: the first was about demographic data, the second part was Knowledge of the elderly about the Elderly Posyandu in Sinar Sabungan Village, Bonatua Lunasi District, Tobasa Regency. From the data analysis it is known that out of 57 respondents there are 51 respondents (89.5%) who have good knowledge, 6 respondents (10.5%) who have sufficient knowledge and no respondent (0%) who has less knowledge. This shows that the knowledge of the elderly about the elderly posyandu is good. It is recommended that health center staff continue to improve the elderly posyandu program and provide health education as well as socialize the existence and benefits of elderly posyandu services.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease caused by abnormalities in the process of insulin secretion, insulin resistance or due to unhealthy lifestyle factors, so there is a need for therapy to support the patient's quality of life. Rational antidiabetic therapy is one of the parameters of optimal therapy success for diabetic patients. The accuracy of therapy can be seen based on the patient's condition. This research was conducted at RUMKIT TK. IV 01.07.01 PEMATANGSIANTAR on patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in 2024. The purpose of this study was to assess the profile of diabetic treatment and the rationality of antidiabetic therapy which includes 5 indicators of accuracy, namely the right indication, the right drug, the right dose, the PATIENT RIGHT, and the Exact delivery time. This research is non-experimental with a descriptive approach using prescriptions and medical record data. The results showed that out of 96 samples consisting of 71 women and 25 men, all of whom met the mixture of inclusion and exclusion, and showed that the predominant age prevalence was around 56-65 years (43,75%). In rational analysis recorded as having a potential indication of 100%, 100% correct medication, 100% correct dosage, 100% correct patient, 100% correct Exact delivery time each of which was processed using Microsoft Excel.
