Abstract

School-based management is an effort to increase educational creativity. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of planning, implementation, community participation, and supporting factors in the implementation of school-based management. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods are observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were the principals and teachers of MTs Islamiyah Sukoharjo. The results showed that the planning process in implementing school-based management involves decisions, vision, mission and goals that are achieved by assessing the strengths, obstacles, opportunities and challenges faced by MTs Islamiyah Sukoharjo. Implementation of school-based management at MTs Islamiyah Sukoharjo by involving the School Committee, RKAM has been made, School Committee participation, and curriculum adjustments. Community participation or school committees have obligations and functions to improve the quality of education in educational units. The school committee supports, provides, motivates, and monitors teacher performance and establishes partnerships with other parties in seeking funding and extracurricular activities. Factors that support and hinder the implementation of school-based management at MTs Islamiyah Sukoharjo. School residents, student guardians, and school committees support the progress of the school. This is evidenced by the school committee who always participates in supporting school programs, and school residents and school committees are always involved in the preparation and implementation of school programs.

Abstract

Metode silent way adalah salah satu metode untuk mengajar pada pelajar tingkat awal. Metode pengajaran mencakup semua kegiatan dalam belajar bahasa Inggris di kelas. Yang paling penting, guru harus menemukan metode yang cocok untuk mengajar bahasa Inggris pada pelajar tingkat awal di sekolah dasar. Dalam perjalanan Silent Way, guru berkata sesedikit mungkin untuk mengajar siswa, dan siswa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris mereka menggunakan objek fisik secara langsung. Caleb Cattegno percaya bahwa pembelajaran paling baik difasilitasi jika pelajar menemukan dan menciptakan bahasa daripada hanya mengingat dan mengulangi apa yang telah diajarkan. Dalam hal ini, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menemukan keuntungan dari penerapan silent way di sekolah dasar. Para peneliti menggunakan penelitian perpustakaan (library research). Untuk itu, para peneliti telah membuktikannya melalui upaya analitis dan studi mendalam dalam beberapa publikasi. Singkatnya, para peneliti memeriksa setiap bukti dengan pendekatan fenomenologis untuk mendapatkan jawaban atas pertanyaan penelitian yang antara lain melibatkan sistem pengkodean data, evaluasi kritis, dan penarikan hasil akhir yang valid dan andal.

Abstract

This article describes how beginners can enjoy writing by practicing it in their daily lives. The researcher used library research into existing literature on writing practices. The main result of the article is a set of recommendations for beginners on how to make writing a fun and sustainable part of their everyday life. The article concludes by developing strategies that make writing enjoyable and sustainable for beginners, ultimately enhancing their writing skills and confidence. By understanding the factors that hinder beginners from enjoying and sustaining their writing practice, educators can tailor instructional approaches and interventions that address these challenges. By investigating the benefits and factors affecting enjoy writing by implementing strategies to promote enjoyable writing, educators can effectively contribute to the holistic writing development of beginner.

Abstract

This study was aimed at describing the implementation of a series of picture activities and describing whether or not a series of picture activities improves the student’s speaking skills. This research consisted of one cycle with each cycle consisting of four elements; they are planning, acting, observing, and analysis and reflection. This study was implemented in MTS Ma’arif Keputran in the Second grade, using classroom action research. The writer took 39 students as the subject of the research. In this research, the classroom action research (CAR) was done by the writer and the English teacher. The writer worked together collaboratively with the English teacher; the English teacher of MTS Ma’arif Keputran taught English and the writer who took part in this research as a collaborator to assist in the implementation of a series of picture activities and to observe the outcomes. In this research, the writer collects the data using observation sheets to observe the students' and teachers’ activities during the teaching-learning process and achievement tests to measure the students’ speaking skills. The form of the test is pretest. The results of the study showed that a series of picture activities can improve the students’ speaking skills of class Second grade of MTS Ma’arif Keputran in the academic year 2015/2016. It was shown by the students’ improvement in one cycle. The speaking skill achievement in the observation was categorized as sufficient, fair .in the first cycle, and good. The students' average scores of speaking skills were in pre-test:10,25% in the post-test (The cycle 1); 58,97%. And the research is a success.
