Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the meaning contained in the Hapo Ana (thanksgiving for the birth a child) Ritual Speech in the community of Raerobo Village, Sabu Liae Subdistrict, Sabu Raijua District. The problem raised in this research is what are the meanings contained in the Hapo Ana (thanksgiving for the birth a child) Ritual Speech in the Raerobo Village community, Sabu Liae Subdistrict, Sabu Raijua District. The theory used in this research is the theory of hermeneutics. The method used by the author in assessing the meaning in the ritual speech "Hapo Ana" (thanksgiving for the birth a child) is a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the Hapo Ana (thanksgiving for the birth a child) ritual ceremony consisted of several stages, namely (1) Atte ahhu (cutting the umbilical cord); (2) Ketoe nyabbu (hanging the placenta); (3) Pehune ngara (naming) and (4) Hapo Ana “thaksgiving for the birth a child” (thanksgiving for the birth a child).

Abstract

“Kemampuan Menulis Teks Recount Bahasa Inggris Siswa Kelas X SMA Swasta Beringin Kupang Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024”. Penelitian ini berjudul “Kemampuan Menulis Teks Cerita Ulang Bahasa Inggris oleh Siswa Kelas XI SMA Swasta Beringin Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024”. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan dan mengidentifikasikesulitan siswa kelas satu SMA Swasta Beringin Kupang dalam dalam menulis teks recount bahasa Inggris. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif. Metode ini digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kemampuan dan kesulitan siswa kelas satu SMA Swasta Beringin Kupang dalam dalam menulis teks recount bahasa Inggris. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas satu SMA Swasta Beringin Kupang. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas satu SMA Swasta Beringin Kupang yang terdiri dari 30 siswa dan penulis mengambil semua populasi sebagai sampel. sampel. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwatingkat kemampuan siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Beringin Kupang tahun ajaran tahun ajaran 2023/2024 dalam menulis teks recount bahasa Inggris termasuk ke dalam dalam kategori cukup. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan persentase tingkat kemampuan yang cukup sebesar 63,33%. yang lebih tinggi dari yang lain.

Abstract

This study entitled "Describing Picture Technique in Improving Students' Speaking Skill at The Second Grade of SMP Swasta Taruna Karya Kupang in the school year 2023/2024. It was conducted to know the ability level of the second-grade students of SMP Taruna Kupang in the school year 2023/2024 in English speaking ability to identify the difficulties encountered by the second-grade students of SMP Taruna Kupang in the school year 2023/2024 in English speaking ability. In this research, the writer used descriptive method. It was used to describe the ability of the second-grade students of SMP Taruna Kupang in the school year 2023/2024 in writing the English-speaking ability and to describe the difficulties encountered by the second-grade students of SMP Taruna Kupang in the school year 2023/2024 in English speaking ability. The population of this study was the second-grade students of SMP Taruna Kupang in the school that consist of 30 students and the writer took sample trough random sample. The ability of the second-grade students of SMP Taruna Kupang in the school year 2023/2024 in English speaking ability with the percentage of excellent level was 40%, very good level 33,33%, good level 20%, and fair level 6,66%. From the percentage above it proved that the students the second-grade students of SMP Swasta Taruna Karya Kupang in the school year 2023/2024 were included into excellent level, because the percentage of excellent level was the highest then it followed by very good level, good level and the last was fair level. Therefore. The second semester students of SMP Swasta Taruna Karya Kupang had improved trough described picture with direct method.

Abstract

Tulisan ini berjudul "Afiksasi dalam Bahasa Sabu Dialek Seba yang Digunakan oleh Orang Sabu di Desa Matawaiatu Kabupaten Sumba Timur". Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) apa saja bentuk-bentuk afiks yang terdapat dalam bahasa Sabu dialek Seba. (2) Apa saja fungsi afiks dalam Bahasa Sabu Dialek Seba? Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk afiks yang terdapat dalam bahasa Sabu dialek Seba (2) Untuk mengetahui fungsi afiks yang terdapat dalam bahasa Sabu dialek Seba. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penerjemahan dan metode analitik. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan afiks dalam bahasa Sabu yaitu {pe-, he-, ke-, dan ta-}.
