Abstract

Dalam menghadapi berbagai permasalahan di dunia pendidikan Islam di Indonesia dan dunia Islam pada umumnya, penting untuk terus melakukan upaya seperti penataran guru, pelatihan pengelola pendidikan, dan penerapan Filsafat Pendidikan Islam. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menyelaraskan tujuan pendidikan dengan tuntutan masyarakat, dengan merujuk pada sumber-sumber primer seperti al-Qur'an dan al-Hadits serta memanfaatkan kontribusi filosof muslim sebagai sumber sekunder. Upaya ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pemahaman yang mendalam, sistematik, dan universal terhadap berbagai aspek pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

Pendidikan dalam peradaban Islam memiliki sejarah yang panjang dan berkembang pesat seiring dengan kemajuan zaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan mendeskripsikan sejarah serta perkembangan pendidikan Islam dari masa ke masa, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam kajian ini, dibahas mengenai sistem pendidikan pada masa awal Islam yang berfokus pada pengajaran Al-Qur'an dan Hadis melalui pesantren dan madrasah, serta kontribusi ilmuwan Muslim dalam mengembangkan berbagai bidang ilmu pengetahuan. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini juga mengkaji perkembangan pendidikan Islam pada masa Kekhalifahan Abbasiyah yang mengembangkan lembaga pendidikan formal dan peranannya dalam penyebaran ilmu pengetahuan. Pada era modern, pendidikan Islam mengalami transformasi besar dengan berdirinya lembaga pendidikan Islam di berbagai negara Muslim yang menggabungkan kurikulum agama dan umum. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa meskipun pendidikan Islam mengalami berbagai tantangan dan perubahan, nilai-nilai dasar Islam tetap menjadi landasan dalam setiap perkembangan yang terjadi. Secara keseluruhan, pendidikan dalam peradaban Islam memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk karakter individu dan masyarakat yang beriman, berilmu, dan berakhlak mulia.

Abstract

The development of the times demands an improvement in literacy skills as a complex and essential life skill for every individual. However, the literacy level in Indonesia is still relatively low, as indicated by the results of the 2019 PISA survey which placed Indonesia at 62nd out of 70 countries. Schools, as formal educational institutions, play a central role in fostering a culture of literacy, and school principals hold a key position in directing and implementing literacy strategies within the school environment. This study aims to examine the strategies of principals in enhancing the culture of reading and writing literacy at UPT SMPN 35 Medan. Based on initial observations, the habituation of a literacy culture in that school has not yet become a priority, as reflected in the still low results of the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM). This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through documentation and interviews. The data is analyzed using The model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014) includes the stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study are expected to reveal the effectiveness of the principal's role in advancing the culture of literacy, as well as contribute to formulating more optimal literacy strategies in the school environment. Abstract

This study focuses on examining the partnership pattern between educational institutions and the business sector in implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in the field of education. The aspects analyzed include the initial circumstances leading to the establishment of the collaboration, the organizational governance model and practices of shared leadership, the mechanisms for implementing and controlling activities, strategies to strengthen trust and commitment among the stakeholders, and the implications of the collaboration for expanding learning opportunities and improving the quality of educational services.  This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at Faza Azkia Integrated Islamic Private Elementary School. The research participants include the school principal, educators involved in the planning, data collection, and implementation of educational CSR programs, as well as representatives from partner companies. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document review, and analysis of CSR activity reports. The analysis process was carried out interactively through stages of data selection, information display, and conclusion drawing. The reliability of the findings was ensured through the application of both source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the collaboration was formed due to the socio-economic gaps among students, which were reinforced by corporate initiatives and the school’s formal mechanisms. The clarity of the institutional design and the collaborative leadership of the school principal play a crucial role in maintaining the effectiveness and sustainability of the program. Educational CSR collaboration has a positive impact on increasing access to education, student motivation, and academic achievement, although the equitable distribution of program benefits remains a major challenge in its implementation.
