Abstract

Idealism asserts that the mind, soul, or spirit is superior to material objects. In education, idealism plays a key role in shaping standards that develop students' intellectual, moral, and spiritual aspects. This philosophy forms the foundation for character development and knowledge acquisition based on essential values. This study analyzes the role of idealist philosophy in education and its implementation in learning systems. Using a library research method, relevant sources such as books, journals, and online materials were examined. The collected data was classified and analyzed descriptively to understand how idealism contributes to education. Findings indicate that idealist philosophy enhances education by emphasizing character formation, understanding universal concepts, and achieving absolute truth through reflection. It promotes not only cognitive growth but also moral and spiritual development. In practice, idealism is reflected in dialogical learning, ethical reinforcement, and deeper philosophical integration. It significantly impacts education by building a system that values intellect and morality. Applying idealist principles fosters a more holistic and meaningful learning experience. This study affirms that idealism-based education remains relevant in addressing modern educational challenges, shaping individuals with broad perspectives rooted in truth and virtue.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan menulis eksposisi berita pada siswa kelas V UPT SPF SD Negeri 44 Dampang Kabupaten Bulukumba melalui Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning diharapkan mampu mempermudah siswa dalam memahami materi dan mampu menulis eksposisi berita agar kemampuan siswa meningkat. Melalui model pembelajaran problem based learning peningkatan dapat dilihat secara proses maupun hasil. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di UPT SPF SD Negeri 44 Dampang Kabupaten Bulukumba. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang terdiri atas empat tahap kegiatan dalam tiap-tiap siklus yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi serta refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 26 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil pembelajaran menulis eksposisi berita dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada siklus I dalam kategori tuntas sebanyak 9 siswa atau 34,62% dan sebanyak 17 siswa atau 65,39% dalam kategori tidak tuntas. Sedangkan hasil pembelajaran pada siklus II dalam kategori tuntas sebanyak 23 siswa atau 88,47% dan sebanyak 3 siswa atau 11,53% dalam kategori tidak tuntas. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terjadi upaya meningkatkan keterampilan menulis eksposisi berita pada siswa melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada siswa Kelas V UPT SPF SD Negeri 44 Dampang Kabupaten Bulukumba.
