Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about non-sequential communication. Which in this study used qualitative research methods, namely the method of literature review and literature review. As social beings, humans always want to be in touch with other humans. This curiosity forces humans to communicate. In a Non-sequential Communication process, communication may occur in a random order; not linear, circular, or even helical. In non-sequential communication, the communicator can become a communicant, and vice versa, the communicant can turn into a communicator. For example, communication between two people actually simultaneously involves communicating with oneself (thinking) to respond to the other party. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi audiens terhadap dakwah Ustadz Felix Siauw di kanal YouTube Raymond Chin melalui perspektif psikologi komunikasi. Di tengah transformasi dakwah digital, pendekatan komunikasi yang adaptif menjadi kunci efektivitas penyampaian pesan keagamaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, melibatkan sepuluh informan yang dipilih secara purposif, serta analisis komentar-komentar audiens di platform YouTube. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya dakwah Ustadz Felix yang tegas, reflektif, dan relevan dengan isu kekinian mampu membangun keterlibatan emosional dan kognitif audiens. Melalui kerangka Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) dan Teori Yale, ditemukan bahwa audiens memproses pesan baik secara mendalam maupun periferal, tergantung pada latar belakang dan kesiapan psikologis mereka. Dakwah ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman agama, tetapi juga mendorong perubahan sikap, penguatan identitas religius, serta munculnya perilaku prososial. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa komunikasi dakwah digital yang dirancang secara strategis mampu memberikan dampak psikologis dan sosial yang signifikan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the media framing by Detik.com and Liputan6.com regarding the political image of Ridwan Kamil in the context of the alleged Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten (BJB) corruption case. The issue attracted public attention due to Ridwan Kamil's position as President Commissioner of Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten (BJB), making it politically significant. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis model, which includes four key elements: problem definition, causal interpretation, moral evaluation, and treatment recommendation. Data were collected through documentation of online news articles published by both media outlets up to May 2025. The findings reveal that Detik.com tends to frame the issue explicitly and with a sensational tone, highlighting Ridwan Kamil as a central figure in the case and thus shaping a negative perception of his integrity and credibility. In contrast, Liputan6.com reports the issue more neutrally and procedurally, portraying Ridwan Kamil as someone not yet proven legally involved, and maintaining balanced information to avoid premature public judgment. This contrast in framing significantly affects the construction of Ridwan Kamil's political image in the digital public sphere. The study concludes that media plays a crucial role in shaping public perception of political figures, and that framing choices can substantially influence a leader’s perceived integrity, capability, and credibility
