Abstract

During the Battle of Surabaya in 1945, the Islamic spirit of the Santris and the fatwa for jihad played a crucial role. The fatwa for jihad, which was infused with Islamic values, ignited the nationalist spirit among the warriors and citizens of Surabaya to resist the invaders. This research aims to: (a) understand the Islamic spirit of the santri in the context of the fatwa for jihad, (b) identify the factors driving the religious spirit of the santri, and (c) analyze the impact of the Islamic enthusiasm of the santri in the jihad fatwa on the 1945 Battle of Surabaya. This study adopts Kevin W. Fogg's Islamic spirit approach and utilizes a historical method that includes heuristics, critiques, interpretations, and historiography. Primary sources such as archives, contemporary newspapers, and various studies are utilized to uncover historical facts about the spirit of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) santri in response to the call for jihad. The research findings highlight how the Islamic spirit of the santri, shaped by their understanding of jihad based on faith in Allah and obedience to the kiai, influenced the fighting spirit of the santri, national unity, and war strategy, and garnered support from various circles in the Surabaya community. Finding of this research is how the Islamic spirit of the santri that animates their understanding of jihad based on faith in Allah and obedience to the kiai influences the fighting spirit of the santri, national unity, war strategy, and the support of the Surabaya community from various circles.

Abstract

This study aims to ascertain the impact of the Independent Board of Commissioners, bonus system, debt covenant, and tunneling incentive on transfer pricing in consumer products companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Five years, specifically the years 2016–2020, were employed for the research. All consumer goods companies registered the study's participants include those who traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2016 and 2020. Purposive sampling was employed in the sampling procedure. Ten businesses were selected based on preset standards. secondary information from the website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange is the kind of data that was used. The analysis method used is panel data regression analysis. The findings demonstrated that the Independent Board of Commissioners, Bonus Mechanism, and Tunneling Incentive Debt Covenant has no impact on Transfer Pricing, although it does have an impact.

Abstract

This study intends to investigate how students at STKIP Al-Amin Indramayu perceive the Al-Amin English Club (AEC) as a platform for learning English and how confident they are in their ability to speak the language. This study takes a qualitative approach using phenomenology. It was carried out in STKIP Al-Amin Indramayu, West Java, at the Al-Amin English Club, one of the student platforms. To gather detailed information regarding this platform, the researchers spoke with five interviewees. The sample was taken from representatives of semester two, four and six of the English education department who play an active role on this platform. Data for this study was gathered through documentation, interviews, and observation. In order to determine how this platform affects students' self-confidence, this study focuses on examining the viewpoints of Al-Amin English Club members. The findings demonstrated that the learning activities offered by Al-Amin English Club are pertinent to the growth of students' English confidence. In contrast to earlier research that concentrated more on the speaking abilities of the students, this study focuses directly on the topic of self-confidence in speaking English. This platform has a positive impact on pupils' confidence, according to their viewpoints. During this activity, students' confidence in speaking English increases. Furthermore, the encouraging friendship environment is another factor that keeps students motivated to learn English, particularly in the Al-Amin English Club. Additionally, the more laid-back and informal classroom environment encourages students to participate in the Al-Amin English Club learning process.

Abstract

This study is an attempt to determine the effect of using audio-visual media on improving student learning abilities at MTs Ma’arif Miftahul Huda Lempuyang Anjatan Indramayu. This research is to answer the questions: (1) How is the students’ speaking ability in MTs Ma’arif Miftahul Huda Lempuyang Anjatan Indramayu? (2) How is the fluency of students’ speaking ability in MTs Ma’arif Miftahul Huda Lempuyang Anjatan Indramayu? (3) Hoe effective is audio-visual media to improve students’ speaking ability in MTs Ma’arif Miftahul Huda Lempuyang Anjatan Indramayu? This study used quantitative method.The data collection method used the pre-test method, the treatment method and the post-test method. The population in this study was 251 and a sample of 71 students were taken from grade 8. The results of this study showed the average score of students was 55,5 after being given treatment, there was a significant change in the improvement, the average score of students was 71. Improved learning outcome after using audio-visual media by 15,5 %. From this research, it can be concluded that there is effectiveness in using audio-visual media to improve students’ speaking ability

Abstract

This study is an attempt to determine the effect of vocabulary and grammar management on English description text writing skill at SMKN 1 Indramayu. This research is to answer the questions: 1) How are the students’ writing skills at SMKN 1 Indramayu? 2) How is the influence of students’ descriptive text writing skills at SMKN 1 Indramayu? 3) How effective is vocabulary to improve English description text writing skills at SMKN 1 Indramayu? 4)How effective is grammar management to improve English description text writing skills at SMKN 1 Indramayu? The method used is survey. The inference analysis used is descriptive correlational research and multiple linear regression. The population in this study was 266 and a sample 70 respondents were taken from grade XI. The results of this study are proven by the acquisition of Sig. = 0.000 <0.05 and F observe = 192,939. 2) There is a significant effect of vocabulary mastery on English descriptive text writing skills, this is proven by the acquisition of Sig. = 0.000 <0.05 and T observe = 10,831. 3) There is a significant effect of grammar mastery o English descriptive text writing skills, this is proven by the acquisition of Sig. 0.000 <0.05 and T observe = 6.984.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) help increase students' learning motivation in English subjects by growing students' interest in English songs (2) obtain evidence that the singing method can improve student learning outcomes in English subjects. To find out whether this method is effective or not, the author used pre-experimental research with a quantitative approach. The research was carried out using stages: Pre-test, Treatment and Post-test. Because the method used is a quantitative approach, to analyze the data the author used Linear Product Moment Regression Analysis, while to test the effect of treatment on the sample the authors used the paired sample t test. The results of data analysis show that the correlation coefficient value rxy is 0.659. This means that the regression correlation coefficient value of students' interest in English songs is 0.659, which has a positive sign, meaning that the higher the students' interest in English songs, the higher the students' interest in English songs student learning outcomes will be. The validity test results of all questionnaire items have Pearson Correlation ® values > 0.3494 then it can be concluded that all items are valid. Meanwhile, the results of the reliability test used Cronbach Alpha with a value of 0.839 > 0.6, which means that the questionnaire items in the instrument were reliable for use. From the results above, the hypothesis states Student’s interest in English Songs can improve the value of learning outcomes in English Subjects for class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Haurgeulis can be accepted
