Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the interactional effects of teaching techniques on students? speaking skill, that was taught by role play and filling information gap (both are communicative language teaching) to the students. The research method used was experimental one. Sample size of 60 students consist of 30 for experimental class and 30 for control class taken from SMP 15 and SMP 16 in Cirebon, West Java, and the sampling technique is cluster sampling. Research instrument used was the test and the result of speaking skill in the form of oral test (5 items), has been tested valid and reliable with coefficient of reliability at 0.732. The result showed. There is a significant effect of teaching techniques on students? speaking skill, as Fobserved = 2.833 and sig = 0.014 < 0.05.

Abstract

ABSTRAKHukum Adat merupakan sumber hukum yang masih hidup dan berkembang di dalam masyarakat sampai saat ini. Namun demikian, terdapat indikasi bahwa dalam pelaksanaannya hukum adat lebih memperhatikan kepentingan masyarakat dibandingan kepentingan pribadi atau golongan, penelitian ini mengunakan metode Empiris melalui pengamatan lapangan dan langkah-langkah penelitian yang telah tersusun supaya di peroleh hasil yang optimal, sumber data primer adalah hasil penelitian yang ada dilapangan dan hasil data sekunder di ambil dari dokumen-dokumen atau risalah resmi peraturan yang ada seperti peraturan-peraturan yang terkait dengan cara membaca litetarur buku, dan hasil penelitian. Data mengenai hukum adat Desa Pulau Panggung lebih banyak bersumber dari Ketua Adat, Kepala Desa, Peraturan Desa No 1 Tahun 2004. Berdasarkan metode yang digunakan hasil penelitian bahwa pelaksanaan hukum adat Desa Pulau Panggung tidak jauh berbeda dengan Hukum Adat Nasional, bahkan penyelesaian pelanggaran melalui hukum adat sudah sangat efektif di laksanakan, ini dilihat dari banyaknya pelanggaran yang di selesaikan oleh hukum adat dan semakin berkurangnya pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh Masyarakat oleh karena itu keberadaan hukum adat perlu di lestarikan dalam rangka penyelesaian pelanggaran yang lebih bermartabat menuju keadilan yang lebih baik.Kata kunci: hukum adat; perkawinan; pulau panggung

Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) Islamic religious education learning for tenth graders at Ma'arif 8 Vocational High School, Buayan District, Kebumen Regency, 2) Islamic religious education teachers' efforts in introducing Islamic religious values, and 3) inhibiting factors in introducing Islamic religious values. This study uses a qualitative method. The subjects of this study were Ma'arif 8 Vocational High School teachers, especially Islamic religious education teachers, principals, and students. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research is the data analysis technique of the Milles and Huberman model. There are three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions can be drawn: Islamic religious education learning for tenth graders is carried out in three stages, namely introduction, core activity, and closing, the efforts of Islamic religious education teachers in introducing Islamic religious values, namely: introducing Islamic religious values ​​in the form of Islamic Aqidah, Islamic Shari'ah, and Islamic Morals that have been implemented but are still not optimal, as well as obstacles faced in introducing Islamic values, namely the background of students, social media, infrastructure, and promiscuity.

Abstract

Tranformasi digital di Indonesia mereformasi layanan publik berbasis elektronik di seluruh level pemerintahan, termasuk di pemerintah desa. Kementerian terkait dan pemerintah daerah memiliki serangkaian program untuk membangun desa digital atau sebutan lainnya. Penelitian ini mengkaji penyelenggaraan digitalisasi desa dari perspektif governmentality dengan studi kasus Kalurahan Sambirejo, Kapanewon Prambanan, Kabupaten Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Sebagai kalurahan terbaik di Kabupaten Sleman, penyelenggaraan layanan digitalisasi desa di Kalurahan Sambirejo belum terinternalisasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari warga Sambirejo disebabkan adanya permasalahan terkait keterbatasan sinyal internet, kapasitas masyarakat akan kepemilikan smartphone yang sesuai dengan aplikasi, dan keterbatasan kapasitas masyarakat lansia penggunaan teknologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis deskriptif dengan metode kajian studi kasus. Teknik pemilihan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria informan adalah aktor utama dalam penyelenggaraan digitalisasi desa di Kalurahan Sambirejo. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data tersebut diproses melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan dengan teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data yaitu triangulasi. Kesimpulan hasil analisis berdasarkan empat dimensi menurut Mitchell Dean yaitu digitalisasi desa di Kalurahan Sambirejo diselenggarakan dengan: (1) visibilitas pemerintah yang jelas, (2) aspek teknis yang cukup memadai, (3) landasan rasional telah sesuai kondisi ideal/tujuan sebuah program pemerintah namun secara realita masih “menuju” tujuan tersebut, dan (4) pembentukan identitas yang memerlukan penguatan edukasi dan literasi digital. Hasil kajian penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi sebagai bagian dari upaya perbaikan penyelenggaraan digitalisasi desa di Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to describe the application of disciplinary character education in Karya Merdeka Kindergarten Samboja Kutai Kartanegara. This study used descriptive qualitative research, with the research subjects being teachers and students in class group B2. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The results of the study showed: instilling the character of discipline through activities: (1) a program to habituate smiles, greetings, greetings, being polite and polite to children from an early age. (2) come to school on time by doing line activities together in front of the yard regularly before entering class. (3) get used to lining up neatly when entering class. (4) tidying children's clothes regularly with the aim that children are used to living neatly and cleanly. (5) teach children to store shoes independently on the shoe rack. (6) teach children to tidy up toys that have been used independently. (7) teach children to wash their hands before drinking and eating. (8) teach children to dispose of the canoe in the space provided.

Abstract

The focus of this study is to figure out whether implementing English songs as learning resources and media in educational activities may enhance students' listening skills. The researchers used a quantitative approach and pre-experimental study on 39 pupils in class VIII-B at MTs Darul Falah Bongas to gather this data. The researchers employed a single group pre-test and post-test design, which is a form of pre-experimental study. Ten multiple-choice questions based on song lyrics with a gap-filling task design were employed. The findings demonstrated that using English songs as media significantly improved students' listening skills. By comparing the pre-test and post-test results, this conclusion was reached. The mean score before the test was 41.38, and the mean score after the test was 65.69. Additionally, the hypothesis result displays a value of 5.81, which is bigger than the t-table (i.e., 2.03<5.81>2.72). The authors draw the conclusion that, in addition to being interested and motivated in the learning process, their listening abilities increased after being taught using English songs as medium. Their listening skills can then be greatly enhanced by selecting the appropriate English music.

Abstract

This study intends to investigate how students at STKIP Al-Amin Indramayu perceive the Al-Amin English Club (AEC) as a platform for learning English and how confident they are in their ability to speak the language. This study takes a qualitative approach using phenomenology. It was carried out in STKIP Al-Amin Indramayu, West Java, at the Al-Amin English Club, one of the student platforms. To gather detailed information regarding this platform, the researchers spoke with five interviewees. The sample was taken from representatives of semester two, four and six of the English education department who play an active role on this platform. Data for this study was gathered through documentation, interviews, and observation. In order to determine how this platform affects students' self-confidence, this study focuses on examining the viewpoints of Al-Amin English Club members. The findings demonstrated that the learning activities offered by Al-Amin English Club are pertinent to the growth of students' English confidence. In contrast to earlier research that concentrated more on the speaking abilities of the students, this study focuses directly on the topic of self-confidence in speaking English. This platform has a positive impact on pupils' confidence, according to their viewpoints. During this activity, students' confidence in speaking English increases. Furthermore, the encouraging friendship environment is another factor that keeps students motivated to learn English, particularly in the Al-Amin English Club. Additionally, the more laid-back and informal classroom environment encourages students to participate in the Al-Amin English Club learning process.

Abstract

Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten (TKA ABA) under the auspices of the North Banguntapan PCA, as an early childhood education institution based on religious values, is committed to developing a superior generation, with noble character, and competitiveness. However, competition in the education sector demands innovative strategies to strengthen the institution's competitiveness and identity. One such strategy is to integrate English and entrepreneurship skills into the curriculum. The problems faced are suboptimal human resources in English and a lack of understanding of entrepreneurship as a means of strengthening branding. The proposed solution is mentoring and training in English and entrepreneurship. The implementation method consists of four stages: preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and follow-up. The output of this service shows an increase in the ability of teachers in using English for learning and entrepreneurial skills for the purposes of institutional branding. The expected recommendations include follow-up by TKA ABA PCA to create an internal curriculum that combines English and entrepreneurship learning in real situations, the creation of a sustainable teacher learning community, and a commitment to establishing strategic partnerships with the business world and other educational institutions.
