Abstract

This study examines the integration of rajah (spiritual chants or incantations) and local spirituality within the context of Islamic law through a hermeneutic interpretative analysis. The research explores how local spiritual practices, particularly the use of rajah, coexist and interact with the principles of Islamic jurisprudence. By employing a hermeneutic approach, the study aims to uncover the deeper meanings and implications of rajah in relation to the spiritual and legal frameworks of Islam. It investigates the cultural and historical significance of rajah, its acceptance and adaptation within various Islamic communities, and the interpretative challenges it presents. The findings reveal a complex interplay between local traditions and Islamic legal thought, highlighting the dynamic nature of religious interpretation and the need for contextual understanding in the application of Islamic law. This study contributes to a broader comprehension of how local spiritual practices can be harmonized with Islamic jurisprudence, offering insights into the evolving relationship between tradition and religion.

Abstract

This study explores the concept of Barzakh in the Qur'an, focusing on Surah Al-Mu'minun verses 99-100 and 46. The research aims to understand the differences between the grave and Barzakh, whether humans sleep or are punished in barzakh, and the spiritual implications of these concepts. The novelty of this study lies in addressing the spiritual purpose of Barzakh as a 'checkpoint,' a topic not yet comprehensively examined in scholarly journals. Although Quraish Shihab has extensively discussed this in various YouTube content, it has not been systematically analyzed in academic literature. This study is a library research project employing a qualitative approach. The methodology involves descriptive analysis and content analysis of Quraish Shihab's interpretations, particularly his exegesis in Tafsir Al-Misbah. The findings conclude that Barzakh is a waiting realm (checkpoint) where rewards or sins from the world continue to affect the deceased. The spiritual significance of Barzakh underscores the importance of one's life record, encouraging the increase of good deeds and the avoidance of sinful deeds.

Abstract

This study examines government policies to prevent intolerant behavior among religious communities and the response of the community in Aceh Tanggara district. This study aims to identify policies that have been implemented by the local government and evaluate their effectiveness in preventing intolerant behavior. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and analysis of official documents. The results show that the government has adopted various policies, such as interfaith dialogue programs, multicultural education in schools, and inclusive religious social activities. Nonetheless, community responses show variations, ranging from full support to resistance. Factors influencing community responses include level of education, religious understanding and personal experience of religious harmony. The study concludes that although government policies are quite comprehensive, their successful implementation relies heavily on active participation and community awareness.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an essential role in driving local economic growth, particularly in rural areas. However, MSMEs still face various obstacles in marketing their products and developing their businesses sustainably. The Community Service Program (KKN) in Tigabinanga Village is implemented as a form of community service, aiming to empower MSMEs through bazaar activities that promote and increase the competitiveness of local products. The method of implementing the activity includes three main stages, namely: (1) the preparation stage in the form of coordination with the village government and data collection of MSMEs, (2) the implementation stage in the form of marketing strategy training, branding assistance, and holding a local product bazaar, and (3) the evaluation stage through direct observation and interviews with activity participants. The results of the activity showed that the bazaar successfully increased the visibility and sales of local products, expanded marketing networks, and enhanced the capabilities of business actors in digital promotion and product innovation. Furthermore, active collaboration between KKN students, the village government, and the community contributed to the success of the activity. In conclusion, the community service activities through the MSME bazaar in Tigabinanga had a positive impact on community economic empowerment, increased the entrepreneurial capacity of MSME actors, and strengthened the synergy between the educational world and the community in supporting sustainable local economic development.
