Abstract

As the growth of technology and telecommunication network, demands of mobile technology is also raised. The quality of the network will decrease by the insufficient number of network and cell to support the growth of user, and the scope of e-Node B is not optimal. The method of cell splitting can be used to solve the problem, this method splitting macro cell network become smaller size of cell with scoping area of each without interruption. The planning of new site as microcell implemented in area of Flamboyan Baru using XL operator. As the count gained, 1 site microcell and 2 cell with the antenna of 18,5 meters and power of 38 dBm, cell splitting method could increase network quality and improve the average number of parameter RSRP, SINR, and throughput, also proving that the implementation of cell splitting in microcell could escalate the quality of LTE network, the improvement of network quality in SINR parameter with average number of 24,23 dB with category of very good, RSRP parameter with average number of -94,28 dBm with category good, and the average number of throughput reach 63.094,91 kbps with category very good.

Abstract

Lembah Gumanti Sub-District is one of the sub-districts in Solok Regency where people are on average separated from each other so that they spread out from one another. This is different from people who live in urban areas where they are close to one another. In addition, this area is dominant with hills and trees causing a performance degredation in 2G and 4G network performance. This study aims to find out how the quality of the 2G and 4G network of Telkomsel operators on the causeway in Lembah Gumanti District where data collection is carried out by means of a drive test using Tems pocket. The results showed that for the 2G network on RxLev it still showed poor results while on RxQual it showed good results. While making a call there were also 2 drop calls from 9 call attempts. Meanwhile for the 4G network the RSRP and SINR parameters showed poor results. Therefore, an increase in network performance is needed to increase people's satisfaction in the area.

Abstract

This study aims to design and test a Rectangular miscrostrip Rectifier antenna for  television signal reception in the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) pathway. The research method includes designing antenna designs and designing Voltage Multiplier rectifier circuits. The antenna  parameters  measured include working frequency,  Return Loss, Bandwidth, VSWR, Antenna Impedance, Polarization, and Gain. The results showed that  the Return Loss  value in the frequency range of  540-884 MHz had a value of ≤-10dB, with the lowest value of -26,868 dB at a frequency of 598 MHz in the simulation results. After fabrication,           the Return Loss  value in the frequency range of 632-785 MHz has a value of ≤-10dB, with the lowest value of -42,375 dB at a frequency of 668 MHz.   or transmissions  connected to it. The antenna impedance  was 50.60Ω in the  simulation results  and 51.107 Ω in the measurement results.

Abstract

4G networks were created to provide excellent service and fast data transmission. The goal is to promote better reception, maintain smooth data flow, and speed up information exchange. Indonesia has six mobile operators, each of which has the right to use the radio frequency spectrum to deploy mobile network services. The radio frequencies used are divided into 450 MHz, 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1,800 MHz, 2,100 MHz, and 2,300 MHz. This research focuses on the comparison of 4G LTE network quality at 900 MHz and 2100 MHz frequencies. Data collection is done by conducting a drive test and using the dedicated mode method. The software that is utilized for data processing are TEMS Pocket and TEMS Discovery Device. The network quality of both frequencies is measured based on RSRP, SINR, and Throughput parameters. The results of network quality measurements were obtained for the 900 MHz frequency, namely, RSRP worth 79.54%, SINR worth 65.69%, and Throughput worth 37.65%. While the frequency of 2100 MHz, namely, RSRP is worth 82.1%, SINR is worth 76.84%, and Throughput is worth 72.18%. Of the two frequencies, the 2100 MHz frequency has a better value than the 900 MHz frequency.
