Abstract

Abstract

The presence of diversity in Indonesia can potentially lead to the emergence of radical actions. This article provides information in the form of a review of radicalism in the field of philosophy, encompassing religious understanding, economics, politics, and education. The writing method is conducted through article review. Subsequently, it is found that religious radicalism is underpinned by the belief that their faith is the most correct and absolute. In economics, this is indicated by the rising unemployment rates, poverty, and social injustice, which can lead to economic disparities. In politics, it is demonstrated by the existence of several groups hoping to change the stable political system and social structure with new ideas they believe to be the most correct and suitable. In education, the problem can arise through interactions between teachers and students, students and teachers, as well as through the influence of parents and even society on components within the education system. Understanding radicalism in philosophical studies plays a crucial role in providing knowledge and becoming a solution to prevent and address radicalism, especially in Indonesia.

Abstract

The community's response to inclusive education is highly positive, reflected in the increasing number of schools implementing it and a significant rise in student enrollment. However, the implementation of inclusive policies in Indonesia has yet to meet expectations. This article utilizes a library research method aimed at reviewing relevant sources regarding opportunities and challenges for ABK in the implementation of inclusive policies in Indonesia. The results obtained are diverse, influenced by cultural differences, traditions, and implementation at the provincial, municipal, and school levels, from early PAUD to higher education. Opportunities include positive changes in ABK, the fulfillment of the objectives of the UU as guidance for the Education Department in implementing inclusive education, and the acceptance of ABK within the community. Meanwhile, challenges include the lack of experience among GPK, budget constraints, and inadequate standard facilities in some schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of boarding school culture and self-efficacy, both partially and simultaneously, on the job satisfaction of honorary teachers using a quantitative method. It involves 89 honorary teacher respondents from boarding school in the SU II district of Palembang city. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression techniques. The results show that, partially, boarding school culture has an influence of 99.7% and self-efficacy has an influence of 99.1%. Meanwhile, simultaneously, boarding school culture and self-efficacy have an influence of 99.7% on the job satisfaction of honorary teachers. This study is still limited to the boarding school environment, with most previous studies focusing partially on more general contexts. These findings offer a new contribution by simultaneously considering both variables, indicating the importance of strengthening boarding school culture and empowering self-efficacy to improve the well-being of honorary teachers, which can influence the quality of education.

Abstract

A research was conducted to create car bumper materials using natural kelakai plant fibers combined with a catalyst and resin as a binding agent in the composite. The main goal of the study was to examine the tensile strength of the kelakai fiber composite with different catalyst variations and assess the impact of these catalyst changes on the bumper material's tensile strength. The composite materials were prepared in three test specimens with catalyst compositions of 2,5%, 5%, and 7,5%, respectively, based on a 20 mL resin composition. These samples underwent tensile testing using a Universal Testing Machine (UTM). The results revealed that the tensile strength of the kelakai fiber composite increased with higher catalyst percentages. At 2,5%, 5%, and 7,5% catalyst compositions, the tensile strengths were measured as 0,37 N/mm2, 0,41 N/mm2, and 0,47 N/mm2, respectively. Additionally, the elongation values for the catalyst portion are 1,11%, 2,22%, and 3,89% and the Young's modulus values are 0,33 N/mm2, 0,18 N/mm2, and 0,12 N/mm2, respectively. The study demonstrates the significant influence of catalyst variations on the tensile strength of the kelakai fiber composite.

Abstract

Industrialization has positive effects on the economy, but on the other hand, it also adversely impacts the environment and energy needs. This phenomenon needs to be solved in an integrated way, including using wastewater from coal stocks and sawdust as electrolyte media to generate electrical energy. This study aims to analyze the voltage and electric current generated by electrode pairs consisting of copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) immersed in different sawdust media denoted as M1 (2 grams), M2 (4 grams), M3 (6 grams), and M4 (8 grams), dissolved in 100 milliliters of coal stockpile wastewater. Additionally, the study explores the effects of varying the distance between the Cu-Zn electrodes at 1, 2, and 3 cm. The results showed that the highest voltage generated from the combination of coal stockpile wastewater and sawdust was highest in M3 (6 grams of sawdust + 100 ml of coal stockpile wastewater at a distance of 1 cm at 0.736 volts. The highest electrical current generated by the Cu-Zn electrode in the M3 media combination was 0.221 mA. It is due to coal stockpile wastewater in M3 sawdust powder, which contains ions that enhance electron conduction compared to M4.
