Abstract

The objectives of this activity are: (1) to provide understanding to undergraduate students about scientific article writing; (2) to comprehend the process of publishing scientific articles in accredited and non-accredited national journals; (3) to serve as a motivational platform for students to engage in scientific article writing. The methods employed in conducting this Community Service (PKM) activity include lectures and demonstrations. The activity took place via Zoom Meeting on June 3, 2023. The participants involved in this activity consisted of 130 undergraduate students from various universities in Indonesia. The first session covered the topic of choosing accredited national journals and scientific article writing, which includes how to write, how to choose Sinta accredited and unaccredited journals and things that must be considered in writing scientific papers. The second session focused on tools in scientific writing," discussing the use of writing tools such as Mendeley, Publish or Perish, and Quillbot. The result of this training is that students have increased knowledge of writing scientific papers as well as the use of scientific writing tools and can make good can make scientific papers well.

Abstract

Entering the era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0, critical thinking skills are an important aspect of education, especially in learning mathematics. However, students' critical thinking skills in Indonesia are still low, including in the material of System of Linear Equations of Three Variables (SPLTV). One solution is the use of the (PBL) model supported by an interactive e-module. This study aims to develop and analyze the effectiveness of PBL-based e-modules in improving students' critical thinking skills. The research method used is the ADDIE model with the subject of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Tahunan. The validation results showed that the e-module was very valid, with an average score of 41.5 for media and 42.1 for material. The practicality test obtained a score of 78.2 (category "practical"), while the effectiveness test showed a significant increase (sig < 0.05) with an N-Gain score of 0.78 (high category). This proves that the PBL-based e-module is effective in improving students' critical thinking.

Abstract

Graph labeling is the labeling of graph elements such as vertex, edge and both. distance vertex irregular labeling is a type of labeling resulting from the development of distance magic labeling and (a, b)-distance anti-magic labeling. Let , be a simple graph. The distance vertex irregular labeling of is a vertex labeling so that the weight of each vertex is different. The weight of is calculated based on the sum of vertices label in the set of neighboring vertex , namely Distance vertex irregularity strength of , denoted as d , is the smallest value of the largest label so that has a distance vertex irregular labeling. This study aims to construct a generalized complete friendship graph , determine the labeling function, determine the distance vertex irregularity strength then formulate and prove the theorem resulting from the labeling. Abstract

Dalam perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan alam, matematika dan fisika merupakan ilmu-ilmu sains dasar yang merupakan fundamental bagi cabang ilmu yang lain. Dalam perkembangan ilmu Fisika seringkali juga memotivasi adanya temuan-temuan baru dalam ilmu matematika khususnya aljabar. Di lain pihak, banyak permasalahan dalam fisika teoritis dapat diselesaikan melalui pendekatan aljabar. Dalam kesempatan ini, salah satu bukti hubungan antara fisika dan matematika (khususnya aljabar) diberikan. Pada tahun 1967 suatu persamaan fundamental dalam Ilmu fisika ditemukan oleh penerima hadiah Nobel C. N. Yang. Dalam kurun waktu yang sama, persamaan ini juga diklaim ditemukan oleh R. J. Baxter. Oleh sebab itu, persamaan fundamental ini disebut dengan persamaan Yang-Baxter. Faktanya, persamaan Yang-Baxter ini mempunyai dampak besar dalam perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, salah satunya adalah dalam Teori Knot. Akan tetapi solusi analitik dari persamaan ini belum ditemukan hingga saat ini. Hal ini memotivasi para peneliti untuk menemukan solusinya baik secara kualitatif maupun kuantitatif. Beberapa solusi pendekatan kualitatif telah ditemukan dengan menggunakan pendakatan struktur aljabar yang disebut dengan brace. Dalam paper ini, deskripsi tentang brace diberikan sebagai suatu perumuman dari radikal Jacobson dari suatu ring. Konstruksi brace dua sisi juga diberikan dalam artikel ini.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan kolaborasi dan komunikasi matematis peserta didik kelas X-A SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta, yang tercermin dari hasil asesmen diagnostik dan pernyataan peserta didik tentang kesulitan dalam pengerjaan soal matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kolaborasi dan komunikasi matematis melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) yang terintegrasi dengan pendekatan CASEL. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan instrumen lembar observasi untuk mengukur kemampuan kolaborasi dan tes untuk menilai komunikasi matematis. Indikator kolaborasi meliputi produktivitas, partisipasi aktif, penghargaan terhadap pendapat kelompok, fleksibilitas, dan tanggung jawab, sementara indikator komunikasi matematis meliputi pengungkapan situasi dalam bahasa matematika, penyajian penyelesaian secara terstruktur, dan evaluasi ide matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan kolaborasi dan komunikasi matematis peserta didik setelah penerapan model TGT. Rata-rata nilai tes komunikasi matematis meningkat dari 64% pada siklus I menjadi 90% pada siklus II, sedangkan kemampuan kolaborasi meningkat dari 62% menjadi 73%. Peserta didik menunjukkan keterlibatan yang lebih aktif dalam diskusi dan saling mendukung selama pembelajaran, yang berkontribusi pada peningkatan kemampuan penyelesaian soal matematika. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model TGT efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kolaborasi dan komunikasi matematis peserta didik. Kata Kunci: CASEL, Kolaborasi, Komunikasi, Matematis, TGT Abstract This research is motivated by the low ability of mathematical collaboration and communication of class X-A students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta, which is reflected in the results of diagnostic assessments and student statements about difficulties in working on mathematics problems. This study aims to improve mathematical collaboration and communication skills through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model integrated with the CASEL approach. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with observation sheet instruments to measure collaboration skills and tests to assess mathematical communication. Collaboration indicators include productivity, active participation, respect for group opinions, flexibility, and responsibility, while mathematical communication indicators include expressing situations in mathematical language, presenting solutions in a structured manner, and evaluating mathematical ideas. The results showed a significant increase in students' mathematical collaboration and communication skills after the application of the TGT model. The average mathematical communication test score increased from 64% in cycle I to 90% in cycle II, while collaboration skills increased from 62% to 73%. Students showed more active involvement in discussions and supported each other during learning, which contributed to improving their mathematical problem-solving abilities. These results indicate that the implementation of the TGT model is effective in improving students' mathematical collaboration and communication abilities.
