Abstract

This article analyzes health policies aimed at promoting community participation in disease prevention programs. The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of current policies in fostering active involvement of communities in disease prevention efforts. Methodologically, a comprehensive review of existing health policies and their implementation strategies is conducted, focusing on case studies and empirical data from various regions. The results highlight the critical role of community engagement strategies in enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of disease prevention initiatives. The analysis underscores the importance of tailored policy interventions that empower communities through education, resources, and participatory decision-making processes, thereby strengthening public health outcomes and promoting a culture of proactive health management.

Abstract

People's quality of life is greatly influenced by the accessibility of health services, especially in marginalized areas such as coastal communities. This study investigates the accessibility of modern and traditional health services in Pantai Labu, Deli Serdang. methods used in this study include literature study and in-depth interviews with ten family members in the area. The results showed that cultural, social, and economic factors are very important when choosing the type of health service. In addition, geographical and economic issues affect how easily people gain access to sufficient health facilities. This research is expected to have a positive impact on the health policy-making process and improve the ability of coastal communities to obtain health services.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis kebijakan kesehatan yang bertujuan untuk mendorong partisipasi masyarakat dalam program pencegahan penyakit. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi efektivitas kebijakan saat ini dalam memfasilitasi keterlibatan aktif masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahan penyakit. Secara metodologis, dilakukan tinjauan komprehensif terhadap kebijakan kesehatan yang ada dan strategi implementasinya, dengan fokus pada studi kasus dan data empiris dari berbagai daerah. Hasil analisis menyoroti peran penting strategi keterlibatan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan efektivitas dan keberlanjutan inisiatif pencegahan penyakit. Analisis ini menekankan pentingnya intervensi kebijakan yang disesuaikan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat melalui pendidikan, sumber daya, dan proses pengambilan keputusan partisipatif, dengan tujuan memperkuat hasil kesehatan masyarakat dan mendorong budaya manajemen kesehatan yang proaktif.
