Abstract

This study examines the juridical frameworks and legal challenges surrounding digital tax policies as nations attempt to adapt their fiscal regulations to the rapidly evolving global digital economy. Using qualitative descriptive research methodology with a library research approach, this paper analyzes the legal foundations, international tax principles, and policy innovations that shape digital taxation. The research explores how jurisdictions worldwide are addressing tax base erosion, profit shifting, and value creation in digital business models while navigating sovereignty concerns and cross-border enforcement challenges. Findings indicate significant juridical tensions between traditional territorial tax principles and the borderless nature of digital commerce, with emerging legal approaches ranging from unilateral digital services taxes to multilateral framework agreements. The study concludes that effective digital tax regimes require both domestic legislative innovation and international legal harmonization to balance fiscal sovereignty with the practical realities of the global digital marketplace.

Abstract

This study provides a comprehensive juridical analysis of personal data protection (PDP) laws in the digital era, examining the implementation challenges and effectiveness of data protection frameworks across selected jurisdictions. In today's interconnected digital landscape, the increasing collection, processing, and sharing of personal data have raised significant concerns regarding individual privacy rights. Using qualitative descriptive methodology with a library research approach, this study examines the legal frameworks, implementation strategies, and enforcement mechanisms of PDP laws. The research identifies critical gaps between legislative intent and practical implementation, highlighting jurisdictional disparities in approaches to data protection governance. The findings reveal that effective PDP law implementation requires harmonized regulatory frameworks, enhanced institutional capacity, technological adaptability, and strengthened cross-border cooperation. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing insights into the complex interplay between legal protection mechanisms and rapidly evolving digital technologies, offering recommendations for policymakers, legal practitioners, and stakeholders involved in personal data protection.

Abstract

This research examines the complex landscape of agrarian conflicts and the legal frameworks employed by governments worldwide to address these disputes. Agrarian conflicts remain persistent challenges for many nations, often stemming from historical injustices, overlapping land claims, resource competition, and inadequate policy responses. Through qualitative descriptive research utilizing a library research approach, this study analyzes existing legal frameworks, policy implementation strategies, and resolution mechanisms across various jurisdictions. The research identifies critical gaps in current governance structures, highlighting the need for more inclusive, transparent, and culturally sensitive approaches to agrarian conflict resolution. The study concludes that effective management of agrarian conflicts requires a comprehensive legal framework that balances development objectives with the protection of vulnerable communities' rights, while emphasizing participatory approaches to policy formulation and implementation. This research contributes to scholarly understanding of how legal systems can better address the multifaceted nature of agrarian conflicts and proposes policy reforms to enhance conflict resolution outcomes.
