Abstract

This study aims is to analyze the effect of work motivation on the satisfaction of management lecturers and analyze the effect of the work environment on the satisfaction of management lecturers at a private university in the city of Makassar. This type of research is explanatory research. The sample of this research is management lecturers at private universities in Makassar city, Data use purposive random sampling total 105 respondent. The research period was carried out in February 2020-May 2020. The method of analysis in this study was multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that motivation has a significant effect on job satisfaction. This study proves that both theoretically and previous empirical studies explain that increasing work motivation will increase the job satisfaction of lecturers at private universities in the city of Makassar. According to empirical studies, motivation from a financial perspective can encourage someone to do work. This factor has a more significant influence than the influence of motivation on lecturer job satisfaction. The universities and study programs must improve indicators in the work environment to create comfortable working conditions so that it will increase the job satisfaction of private university lecturers in the city of Makassar.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitiaan ini untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui sektor-sektor apa saja yang termasuk sektor basis, perubahan dan pergeseran sektor perekonomian serta klasifikasi pertumbuhan sektor perekonomian Kabupaten Maros. metode analisis data yaitu analisis Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share (SS), dan Tipologi Klassen dari data sekunder yang merupakan data time series 4 tahun terakhir (2018-2021) Badan Pusat Statistik Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil analisis Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share (SS), dan Tipologi Klassen menunjukkan bahwa di Kabupaten Maros yang termasuk sektor unggulan sebelum pandemi Covid-19 (2012-2019) dan saat pandemi Covid-19 (2020-2021) yaitu sektor pertambangan dan penggalian. Berdasarkan analisis, sektor tersebut merupakan sektor basis (LQ>1), sektor kompetitif atau memiliki daya saing tinggi (Differential Shift positif), dan termasuk sektor maju dan tumbuh cepat (kuadran I). Kata Kunci: Basis Sektor; Unggulan Ekonomi; Location Quotient; Shift Share; Tipologi Klassen; Kabupaten Maros.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of cross-cultural management on global collaboration and organizational performance in multinational corporations (MNCs). It focuses on how effective cross-cultural management practices enhance team collaboration, communication efficiency, and leadership adaptability. Data were collected through surveys and interviews with employees and leaders from various MNCs. Quantitative analysis was performed on survey responses to identify correlations between cross-cultural management practices and organizational performance metrics. Qualitative insights from interviews provided additional context and depth. The findings indicate that cross-cultural management significantly enhances team cohesion and communication efficiency. Employees who underwent cross-cultural training reported higher levels of collaboration and fewer misunderstandings. Leadership adaptability emerged as a crucial factor, with culturally intelligent leaders effectively managing diverse teams. The study also revealed that cross-cultural management contributes to higher innovation and organizational performance. The study underscores the importance of investing in cross-cultural training and developing culturally intelligent leadership. Organizations should implement comprehensive training programs and inclusive policies to leverage cultural diversity. These practices improve interpersonal relations and lead to tangible business benefits, including higher employee satisfaction and productivity.
