Abstract

This research aims to provide training on the use of digital media and digital applications in developing teacher personality branding in the challenges of generation Z. Generation Z, as a generation that grows up in the digital era, has different preferences and needs in terms of learning and interactions with teachers. This study uses a qualitative approach involving participants consisting of teachers who have attended training on the use of digital media and digital applications. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The results showed that this training had a positive impact on developing effective teracher personality branding for generation Z. Teachers who participated in the training experienced increased knowledge and skills in using digital media and digital applications relevant to the needs of generation Z. They were able to create interesting and relevant content, build strong relationships with students, and utilize social media platforms to expand the reach and influence of teachers. In addition, this training also increases teachers' understanding of the characteristics of Generation Z, including their preferences in learning, communication styles, and use of technology. Trained teachers can harness the power of digital media and digital applications to create more interactive, collaborative and relevant learning experiences for generation Z.

Abstract

This article documents the community service program implemented in Tembung Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province, with a focus on developing physical education and sports in elementary schools. This program is designed to address some of the main challenges faced by teachers in the region, such as limited human resources, lack of knowledge about innovative teaching methods, and a lack of curriculum that is integrated with students' physical health and well-being. Through a series of training activities, development of sports facilities, and active collaboration between the foundation, local government and community, this program has succeeded in achieving various significant results and outcomes. This article details the implementation methods, results achieved, as well as plans for the next stages of the program, including efforts to involve the community more actively, development of extracurricular programs, further training for teachers, and development of more complete sports facilities. This article also highlights the main conclusions of the program, important suggestions for continuing the program, and references used in developing the program and writing this article.

Abstract

English as a communication has a big role for EFL students. English debate as subject preparation for following national competition among national universities. It provides a challenging to be a good critical speaker. This study was purposed to prove the effectiveness of Debate class implementation as the solving problems of low English Speaking skills. A qualitative research method was implemented by using triangulation as the instrument. The speaking barrier would be the dominant focus that invite more analysis. The research finding showed that there are some speaking barrier owned by students, namely anxiety, articulation, pronunciation, elaborating ideas, vocabulary. The students need a good English speaking competency and convey many ideas in their argument critically. Some phenomenon occurs during the learning process include the confidence and anxiety, vocabulary chosen and also the appropriate statement used in building the argument. The challenge derived the researcher to identify a further research which focus on the tendency found in the learning phenomenon. It answered the curiosity about some problems appear in conveying the argument during the debate chamber.
