Abstract

ABSTRACT The Islamic Boarding School curriculum is seen as a plan of learning activities for students as a set of goals to be achieved. The meaning of curriculum can also refer to a document containing the formulation of objectives, teaching materials for teaching and learning activities, schedules and evaluations. In addition, the curriculum can also be described as a written document as a result of mutual agreement between curriculum makers and education policy holders with the community that covers a certain scope, be it a school, district, province or the whole country. As an Islamic educational institution that grows and is recognized by the surrounding community with a boarding system (pondokan) where the students receive religious education through a recitation system or madrasa which is fully under the sovereignty and leadership of one or several kyai with charismatic and independent characteristics in In all things, Islamic boarding schools thrived on Indonesian soil long before Indonesia's independence. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach, namely research that uses a natural setting, with the intention of interpreting the phenomena that occur by involving various existing methods. The results of this study indicate that the orientation of the curriculum at the Nasy'atul Muta'allimin Islamic Boarding School in developing the character of students is to accommodate students who focus on learning two curricula, namely the pesantren curriculum and the general education curriculum. The pesantren curriculum material taught is sourced from the yellow book which includes; religious laws, the science of monotheism, morals and Arabic.

Abstract

In this research, it will focus on Building Character Education awareness through Student Service Period (MPS) activities at MA Putra Nasy'atul Muta'allimin Gapura Timur, Sumenep Regency. This MPS is an activity to build awareness of character education and social sensitivity as well as students' social participation skills. The Student Service Period is held in order for students to learn directly from the community. This research is a field research (field research) with qualitative form and literature by collecting data, as well as examining references related to the subject being studied, both papers, books, newspapers, journals, peper as well as interviews using an anthropological approach which means doing study the history of the emergence of MPS by looking at the theoretical framework used in analyzing data or facts, which revolves around the problems faced related to the implementation of this MPS activity. The result is that the Santri Service Period is able to build social-community sensitivity, build awareness of the importance of character education from direct experience in society and is able to make students more skilled and independent. Abstract

Kitab Taʻlīm al-Mutaʻallim yang ditulis oleh Imam Az-Zarnuji termasuk karya klasik, karena konsep pembelajarannya berpegang teguh pada etika (akhlak). Walaupun demikian, secara faktual kitab ini sampai sekarang masih dikaji dan dijadikan rujukan penting dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, khususnya di pesantren. Seiring dengan munculnya pembelajaran humanistik yang modern yang menekankan kebebasan dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Maka pembelajaran Imam Az-Zarnuji dengan pembelajaran berparadigma humanistik perlu ditelaah dan dicari relevansi dengan paradigma merdeka belajar. Dengan latar belakang tersebut, maka dirasa penting untuk melakukan studi yang mendalam terhadap pembelajaran Imam Az-Zarnuji dalam kitab Taʻlīm al-Mutaʻallim, untuk menemukan ciri-ciri humanistik di dalamnya, dan menemukan pula relevansinya dengan paradigma merdeka belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pustaka (library research). Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis-deskriptif akan menjawab permasalahan yang muncul dari latar belakang di atas.
