Abstract

Abstract Literature is a craft of human imagination and an entertainment inpirating for any human enjoying it. Wattpad is a digital platfrom which ideas are transmitted to literary novels via the Internet. Character distorts a description of unique characteristics of individuals in various forms of fiction such as novels. The purpose of this study is to examine the character of the utam and transcends the relationship between the background and character of the mikeindialima novel switchover. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method, with the analysis of content. Data obtained by siamk and note, reading is done in capturing the famous mikeindialima novel of 121 chapters, 1.28 million voices and has been read 28.5 million times. Based on research and discussion, the findings found in Anna are some of the characters that presenta good and bad character :1) empathy of 5, 2) a whineness (whiners) as much as 6, 4) as desperate as 5, 5) as paranoid as 6, 6) a high level of 5. And there are also factors that influence the change in Anna's main character in mikeindialima's swithover novel, among which are: internal factors (family matters, past, self-control and love) and external factors (environment).

Abstract

Each student's ability to understand lessons is different, where teachers often see students facing learning difficulties caused by various things. So, the aim of this research is to understand students' interest in learning which is linked to teacher creativity or the learning environment. Correlational quantitative is used as the approach for this research. This research had a population of class V students in 3 schools, with random sampling techniques and 126 students as research samples, as well as questionnaires and documentation as data collection techniques. The results of this research (1) directly show a positive relationship between creative teachers and students' interest in learning, meaning that better teacher creativity can also increase students' interest in learning. (2) the positive relationship between the learning environment and student interest in learning, meaning that if the learning environment improves, student interest in learning also tends to improve as well. (3) a positive direct relationship between creative teachers and the learning environment and student interest in learning. This means that if creative teachers and students' learning environment are considered together, this will lead to an increase in students' interest in learning.

Abstract

The topic of gender equality in literary works is still a hot topic of discussion. Starting from awareness of the importance of gender equality in the context of social life, this research aims to examine the issue of gender equality in four novels by Nawal el Saadawi, an Egyptian feminist figure. Qualitative methods were used in this research, with the help of the semiotic approach of Charles Sander Peirce's trichotomy model, to analyze aspects of gender equality contained in literary texts. The research results show that the dominant aspects of gender equality that emerge from these novels are subordination, stereotypes and violence. There is a dominant role of men in the public sphere and in decision-making in a household, cultural stereotypes and societal habits that are biased towards women, and the occurrence of physical, sexual and verbal violence, whether perpetrated by men or fellow women against women. This aspect is relevant to Indonesian literary works with a gender theme published in the period 2017 - 2021. The implications and recommendations of research for contributions to learning activities on the subject of Literary Appreciation in Higher Education are also discussed in this research.
