Abstract

The existence of the Covid-19 virus impacts daily activities carried out by humans, not only killing the human body but also economic growth throughout the region. One of the sectors affected by the Covid-19 pandemic is tourism, for example, in the Magelang City area, precisely in Kyai Langgeng Park. Kyai Langgeng Park has experienced a decline since the arrival of the Covid-19 virus, and it has impacted the surrounding economy and company income. This paper aims to determine market share and industry growth that needs to be developed through the BCG matrix analysis tool. This research uses quantitative methods from the results of BCG matrix analysis. It takes secondary data from the number of tourists according to tourism objects in Magelang City in 2016-2020, which are sourced from the Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office of Magelang City. The results of this study indicate that Kyai Langgeng Park is in the cash cow quadrant due to sales growth of -71.26% and a relative market share of 0.534. The results of this study are expected to help Taman Kyai Langgeng develop and improve its business strategy to survive in the era of increasingly fierce industrial competition.

Abstract

Introduction: Aging leads to cognitive decline, particularly in elderly individuals with dementia, affecting their memory, orientation, and ability to process information. Sensory stimulation through therapeutic approaches plays a crucial role in maintaining cognitive function and improving quality of life in geriatric care. Objective: The purpose of this service was to enhance cognitive function in elderly individuals with dementia through Group Activity Therapy (GAT) using Picture Guessing, aiming to improve memory, concentration, and social interaction. Method: This public service was conducted at the UPTD Social Protection Unit of the Banten Province Social Service. Sixteen elderly participants were selected based on cognitive screening using the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Short Portable Mental Status Questionnaire (SPMSQ). The therapy involved interactive picture-guessing activities to provide sensory stimulation and cognitive training. Result: The intervention showed positive outcomes, with participants demonstrating improved memory retention, increased concentration, and higher engagement in social interactions. Observations indicated that structured sensory stimulation through Picture Guessing Therapy contributed to cognitive enhancement. Conclusion: Group Activity Therapy using Picture Guessing proved effective in stimulating cognitive function in elderly individuals with dementia.

Method: Activities involved Community Discussion Forums (MMD I & II) and the implementation of anti-hypertension exercises and watermelontherapy. Blood pressure was monitored through pre-test and post-test evaluations. Result: Of the 25 participants, 12 demonstrated reduced blood pressure following the intervention. Knowledge about hypertension improved significantly, and the community agreed to conduct hypertension exercises routinely, led by trained health volunteers. Conclusion: Community- based interventions using healthy exercise and watermelon therapy effectively reducedblood pressure and promoted health awareness. This approach can serve as a sustainable model for hypertension management at the community level.
