Abstract

Dissemination of waste sorting and utilization activities was carried out to residents of Dayurejo Village, precisely Gamoh Hamlet, Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency from January to March 2022. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge and skills regarding the sorting and utilization of household waste as a more useful product. The method of activity carried out is by conducting socialization counseling and providing examples of the use of plastic waste into hanging gardens. From this activity, it can be seen that the enthusiasm of the participants to acquire skills and abilities regarding the use of household waste. Likewise, the youths were very enthusiastic in participating in the socialization and counseling activities on household waste management. The stimulus to utilize the existing waste was responded well by the participants, thus giving hope for efforts to improve the quality of waste processing and reduce the negative impact of household waste and can produce more beneficial outcomes from household waste that is produced every day.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and explain the Correlation Study of Student Delinquency and Student Achievement at SMP Negeri 1 Arosbaya with a focus on discussing the definition of student delinquency and learning achievement. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. In this research, it was formulated that there is a correlation between student delinquency and learning achievement. The object of this research is SMP Negeri 1 Arosbaya. From the analysis results, it was concluded that there was a significant negative correlation between naughty students and learning achievement at SMP Negeri 1 Arosbaya Bangkalan

Abstract

This review discusses the implementation of biolinguistics in children’s language acquisition. The focus lies on the importance of biolinguistics in studying children’s language acquisition. Children’s language is considered important because, within the scientific concept of biolinguistics, will have an influence on the development of children’s language until the child is an adult. This review is based on The Cambridge Handbook of Biolinguistics, which consists of three parts. The first section discusses the history of biolinguistics; the second chapter discusses the mind, brain and behavior in relation to language; and the third section discusses the evolution of language.  This book aims to open our horizons about biolinguistics as a science that harmonizes language and knowledge, language development in children and the evolution of language in various species. In addition, the most profound meaning of this book lies in its emphasis on the function the human brain,  where each part has its own specific role. Through this book we are asked to be grateful for God's gift to humans for giving the brain with a very extraordinary function. In line with its purpose, this book not only examines the integration between language and the human brain, but also inspires readers to appreciate the complexity of human cognition.

Abstract

Introduction: Preeclampsia is a hypertensive disorder of pregnancy and is responsible for around 800 maternal deaths. The etiologies of preeclampsia remain unidentified, although the premature senescence of the placenta is a possible cause. To date, various markers such as oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction have been identified to be related to placental aging.Method: This study uses a narrative review approach; the search engines used are Scopus, PubMed, and Cochrane. The keyword combinations are placenta senescence AND aging AND preeclampsia, while excluding the results that are correspondence or not written in English.Results: The senescence of the placenta has a role in the pathophysiology of preeclampsia. The epigenetic alterations marked by the changes in the trophoblast’s telomere length as the result of the damage done by ROS to the mitochondria marked by various biomarkers can lead to accelerated cell death.Conclusion: Preeclampsia is due to premature placental aging and apoptosis, resulting in widespread blood vessel lining dysfunction.Penuaan Plasenta dan Asal Mula Preeklampsia: Adakah Peran Potensial? – Sebuah TinjauanAbstrakPendahuluan: Preeklampsia adalah gangguan hipertensi pada kehamilan yang menyebabkan sekitar 800 kematian ibu. Penyebab preeklampsia masih belum diketahui, namun penuaan dini plasenta merupakan salah satu penyebabnya. Sampai saat ini, berbagai markah seperti stress oksidatif dan disfungsi mitokondria telah teridentifikasi berhubungan dengan penuaan plasenta.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan naratif dan mesin pencari yang digunakan adalah Scopus, PubMed, dan Cochrane. Kombinasi kata kunci yang digunakan adalah penuaan plasenta DAN penuaan DAN preeklampsia dan mengecualikan hasil yang bersifat korespondensi atau tidak ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris.Hasil: Penuaan plasenta memiliki peran dalam patofisiologi preeklampsia. ROS merusak mitokondria dengan mengubah panjang telomer trofoblas. Perubahan tersebut dapat menyebabkan percepatan kematian sel yang bisa ditandai dengan berbagai biomarkerKesimpulan: Preeklampsia disebabkan oleh penuaan plasenta dini dan apoptosis yang mengakibatkan disfungsi lapisan pembuluh darah yang meluas.Kata kunci: Perubahan Epigenetik, Stres Oksidatif, Penuaan Plasenta, Preeklampsia

Abstract

Penggunaan perpustakaan sekolah sebagai pusat pembelajaran berbasis literasi di SMK An Nur Al Muntahy masih belum optimal, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengabdian masyarakat untuk meningkatkan fungsi perpustakaan tersebut. Kegiatan ini bertujuan mengatasi rendahnya minat baca dan pemanfaatan perpustakaan oleh siswa serta memperbaiki pengelolaan perpustakaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan pengelolaan perpustakaan bagi guru dan pustakawan, pengembangan koleksi buku, serta integrasi teknologi informasi untuk akses bahan ajar digital. Pendekatan partisipatif melibatkan siswa dan guru dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan program-program perpustakaan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam jumlah kunjungan siswa ke perpustakaan, peningkatan minat baca, serta peningkatan kualitas literasi siswa. Perpustakaan sekolah kini berfungsi lebih optimal sebagai pusat pembelajaran, dan diharapkan model ini dapat diterapkan di sekolah-sekolah lain untuk meningkatkan literasi dan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the law that can criminally prosecute perpetrators of forced marriage on children and what is Sadz Dzariah's theoretical perspective on punishing perpetrators of forced marriage on children considering that marriage hurts children so the government makes criminal regulations, for cases of sexual violence where children become victims. This is most important because every child has the right to survival, growth, and development and the right to protection from violence and discrimination. In this research, the author uses a juridical-normative research method that combines conceptual analysis with legislation. The result is that, first; To provide protection and guarantee the rights of children, the government has established various laws and regulations that can prosecute perpetrators of forced marriage and sexual violence against children, such as; the Law Number 35/2014article 76 D, Law number 17/2016 article 81 and Law number 12/2022 article 10. Second; The existence of criminal articles for perpetrators of forced marriage is an effort by the government to close (سد) so that child marriage does not occur which becomes a way or cause (الذريعة) the emergence of negative impacts on children.

Abstract

This research examines legal pluralism in Indonesian inheritance law, encompassing three parallel systems: Islamic law (sharia), customary law (adat), and civil law (KUHPerdata). Dutch colonial legacies created normative tensions, including the 2:1 faraidh ratio, collectivist customary principles (Minangkabau matrilineal systems or Batak patrilineal systems), and the Civil Code's egalitarian framework, often precipitating familial disputes. Employing a normative-comparative methodology, this study analyzed statutes, jurisprudence, and key real-world cases, such as the 1957 Minangkabau case and Lamtiur v. Hariman (1971). Findings stressed that the command for grounded reconciliation in tolerance and maqashid syariah to harmonize core values. This harmonization can could be achieved through contextual ijtihad, customary deliberation, mediation, and testamentary grants instruments. This research is an integrative multidimensional model that provides a progressive framework for achieving substantive justice, reducing litigation, and reinforcing social cohesion in this pluralistic society. This research recommended judicial reform, legal education, and socialization of pluralism to bolster national stability

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis implementasi nilai karakter religius melalui program kegiatan keagamaan di MTs Mamba’ul Ulum Lubuk Makmur sebagai upaya untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter religius guna melindungi siswa dari perilaku negatif terutama perundungan dengan melaksanakan kegiatan keagamaan yang rutin dilaksanakan di madrasah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa MTs Mamba’ul Ulum Lubuk Makmur memiliki tiga program keagamaan utama yakni kegiatan shalat Dhuha dan Dzuhur berjamaah serta program pendampingan gerakan dan bacaan sholat. Program keagamaan memberikan efektivitas terhadap karakter keagamaan siswa, terbukti dari hasil observasi dan penilaian dewan guru dan kepala sekolah bahwa siswa di MTs Mamba’ul Ulum Lubuk Makmur memiliki karakter keagamaan yang jauh lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum program keagamaan tersebut dilaksanakan. Faktor pendukung penerapan nilai karakter meliputi pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan yang berkualitas, serta dukungan dari orang tua siswa. Sedangkan faktor penghambat dalam penerapannya meliputi lingkungan rumah yang kurang mendukung, kondisi kemarau yang menyebabkan kurangnya ketersediaan air, dan pengaruh buruk media sosial.

Abstract

This study examines the legal and social paradox of marriage dispensation in Indonesia, particularly in cases of premarital pregnancy, where child protection objectives often conflict with the formal legitimacy of marriage. Although frequently justified as a protective legal mechanism, this article argues that marriage dispensation primarily functions as an emergency response, offering short-term legal relief while generating long-term social harm. Using a socio-legal and normative-empirical approach, the study applies the maqāṣid al-sharīʿah framework, particularly tarjīḥ maqāṣidī, to evaluate legal priorities in light of the higher objectives of Islamic law. Its novelty lies in measuring maṣlaḥah through multi-dimensional indicators scope, durability, precision, effectiveness, and temporal impact based on empirical data from Religious Courts and Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection agencies in East Java, Central Java, and West Java. The findings show that the benefits of marriage dispensation are limited to formal lineage recognition and stigma reduction. At the same time, its harms are extensive and enduring, including reproductive health risks, educational disruption, psychological vulnerability, and intergenerational poverty. From a maqāṣid perspective, this imbalance reflects a failure to protect life, intellect, and progeny. This study concludes that the marriage dispensation is normatively inconsistent and calls for prevention-oriented legal harmonization that prioritises child protection.

Abstract

Democracy is a system where the people as the holders of the highest power have the right in all decision-making that includes the interests of the people in a region. In this case, indirectly the people can also issue laws and regulations that are beneficial and also to protect their rights. The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, Article 1 paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution which reads "sovereignty is in the hands of the people and is implemented according to the Constitution". This study aims to answer two main problem formulations. First, What is the role of the Election Supervisory Body in supervising the nomination of regional heads? Second, What is the validity of a single candidate in the regional election from a democratic perspective? This study uses the Normative Juridical research method. While the approach used is the Legislation approach (statue approach). The results of the study show: First, Bawaslu has a role in supervising the nomination of regional heads, namely: Supervising registration, Verifying candidates, Preventing violations, Handling violations, Monitoring campaigns. Second, the validity of a single candidate in the regional elections from a democratic perspective, namely regulated in Article 54C and 54D of Law Number 10 of 2016 concerning the second amendment to Law Number 1 of 2015 concerning the stipulation of the Replacement of Law Number 1 of 2014 concerning the election of Governors, Regents, and Mayors.
