Abstract

Gandang Dewata National Park was designated as a conservation area because it has biodiversity and a unique ecosystem. Ecosystem types in this area are based on altitude or topographic conditions, namely Lowland Forest, Lower Mountain Forest, Upper Mountain Forest and Sub-Alpine Forest. This research aims to obtain an explanation of the socio-economic problems of the community around the Gandang Dewata National Park (TNGD), the level of community dependence on the National Park area and the contribution of income from the park to the total income of farmers. The research was carried out in Mamasa Regency in the TNGD Area, West Sulawesi Province. The method used in this research is interviews. Respondents in this study were chosen randomly. Data was analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of this research show that basic data and information regarding the socio-economic conditions of the people of Taupe Village, one of the TNGD buffer villages, shows that out of the 84 respondents interviewed, the socio-economic conditions of the people of Taupe Village work as farmers. 90% of this is because the village's irrigation conditions are still in good condition.  The community is dependent on the area, namely 56% know the village boundaries and the location where the community lives is outside the area. Apart from that, the community's dependence on forests consists of rice fields and gardens. Utilization of forest products in the form of firewood, honey, aloes, bamboo, rattan and game products. Commodities based on agricultural, livestock, plantation and forestry products are coffee, cloves, cinnamon, patchouli, honey, cassava pork, aloes and broiler chicken. Abstract

The aim of this study; to find out the use of rattan in the Mandar Sub-watershed, Kalumammang Village, Alu District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The use of rattan as a multi-purpose plant in the Mandar Sub-Watershed of Kalumammang Village has quite a lot of potential where there are 4 types of rattan. The rattan plants most widely used for woven materials are emblem (Calamus sp) and Sega rattan (Calamus axillaris Becc.). The types of rattan crafts used by the community include baskets used as containers for transporting goods and clothing containers, these baskets are made from sega rattan. Apart from that, there is also a mattress beating craft, which is woven material made from sega rattan which is usually used to beat mattresses after drying them so they don't get dusty. The traditional use of rattan is local wisdom that has been passed down from generation to generation, but there has been no research regarding the use of rattan as a craft material. Abstract

River Basin Areas (DAS) are part of regional development in Indonesia, which are interconnected with ecological concepts and involve reciprocal relationships among actors within an ecosystem. The increasing natural disasters experienced, such as floods, landslides, and droughts as a result of watershed damage, have become a serious concern. Therefore, there is a need for integrated watershed management that must involve stakeholders in natural resource management, which consists of various elements such as the community and the government, with principles of integration, equality, and a commitment to implementing sustainable natural resource management. The purpose of this research is to identify the roles and what the community has experienced in the Liawan sub-watershed, as well as to understand the performance perceived by the community in the management of the sub-watershed. This research is a qualitative study using stakeholder analysis. The results of this study indicate that several stakeholders involved in the management of the Liawan Watershed include the Provincial Forestry Office of West Sulawesi, the Tourism Office, the Karama Watershed Management Agency, the Central Mamasa Forest Management Unit, the Head of Tadisi Village, the Community of https://www.adenomyosisadviceassociation.org/hysterectomy Tadisi Village, Academics, and the Community of Tadisi Village. The assessment of watershed management performance perceived by the community based on interview results indicates that the community experiences economic benefits through social forestry programs, assistance with agricultural tools and seeds, as well as training in sustainable farming techniques. The good performance of Sub-Watershed management is perceived to provide economic benefits, improve environmental quality, and strengthen community participation in decision-making related to natural resource management in their area.
