Abstract

Leadership plays a very important role in an organization or company. The processes that take place within an organization or company depend on the attitude and leadership style applied. Leadership attitudes and styles in an organization also play an important role in increasing employee satisfaction. Employees who are satisfied with the leadership attitudes implemented by their leaders have the potential to feel appreciated and prosperous. Employee personal well-being is achieved through leadership as a medium. Examining the relationship between leadership and worker well-being as well as the influence of additional factors that bolster it is the aim of this essay. This article examines studies that show a relationship between leadership and worker well-being as well as the mediators and moderators that support that relationship. Using a literature study, the approach looks at leadership philosophies and attitudes in terms of enhancing worker wellbeing. The literature research indicates that there is a noteworthy correlation between employee well-being and leadership. Through intermediate factors, such as welfare forms and leadership styles and processes, leadership may have an impact on employee welfare. Additional findings support the notion that a moderating factor like leadership style might enhance the association between well-being of employees and leadership.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan wisata religi. Namun, potensi tersebut tidak hanya terletak pada jumlah tempat-tempat ibadah yang megah dan bersejarah, tetapi juga pada tradisi dan budaya lokal yang kaya akan nilai-nilai keagamaan.  Wisatawan religj religi di Indonesia tidak hanya fokus pada aspek spiritual, tetapi juga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat” melalui ekonomi kreatif dan usaha kecil menengah. Dengan mengoptimalkan potensi tersebut, Indonesia dapat meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan, memperkuat citra sebagai destinasi wisata yang ramah dan toleran, serta mempromosikan keragaman budaya dan agama yang harmonis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi wisata religi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deks studi. Sebelum melakukan tinjauan literatur, topik yang akan dipilih diidentifikasi melalui analisis bibliometrik. Teknik ini menggunakan teknik statistik untuk menganalisis publikasi ilmiah. Identifikasi ini melibatkan penggunaan alat matematika dan statistik untuk mempelajari karakteristik dan hubungan antara berbagai publikasi, menawarkan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk memahami tren penelitian dan dampaknya dalam bidang tertentu. Pendekatan yang sistematis melalui tinjauan artikel dilakukan untuk menentukan melihat sejauhmana artikel yang berkaitan dengan potensi wisata religi di Indonesia. Artikel ini juga ditulis menggunakan metode deks studi yaitu menggunakan studi literatur dengan data yang diperoleh dari bacaan atau literatur yang terindeks secara daring atau online pada situs basis data artikel atau bacaan yang sangat populer di Indonesia, Google Scholar. Mesin pencari dalam menggunakan kata kunci "wisata religi" untuk mencari artikel atau bacaan yang relevan. Dimulai dengan memeriksa relevansi topik yang akan dibahas dan judulnya. Kemudian dibuat ringkasan metode, hasil, pembahasan kesimpulan, dan sarana yang dibahas. Terakhir, analisis dilakukan dengan membandingkan artikel lain yang relevan.

Abstract

The company’s human resources must be able to evolve to become more productive, innovative, and adaptive in every generation. This is necessary to ensure that human resources are competitive in the current era of Industry 4.0. Business processes and the company’s human resources are now influenced by the new technologies they use. Currently, the standards and qualifications of human resources need to be improved. The management of Sun Plaza Medan Shopping Center also experiences this challenge. Therefore, the aim of this study is to understand and analyze how management will address the growth of Industry 4.0. Additionally, this research will examine the impact of Industry 4.0 on human resource development. The study will also explore how management can improve the qualifications required by the management of Sun Plaza Medan Shopping Center. This research employs two approaches: descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative descriptive results are derived from interviews and observations at Sun Plaza Medan. The quantitative results come from surveys conducted with employees of the management of Sun Plaza Medan Shopping Center. The research findings from interviews and questionnaires indicate that Sun Plaza Medan Shopping Center still requires human resources to operate, as it is a shopping center that prioritizes services to visitors. The staff currently working at Sun Plaza Medan Shopping Center meet the required qualifications. The survey results reveal that they are interested in the developments of Industry 4.0 and have the desire to learn and understand the advancements in Industry 4.0.

Abstract

The growing concern for environmental issues and public awareness of nature conservation have driven the emergence of eco-friendly products with minimal environmental impact. However, the perception that eco-friendly products are expensive remains a barrier, particularly for middle- to lower-income consumers. This study aims to examine consumer perceptions and preferences toward affordable eco-friendly products in traditional markets, focusing on Simpang Limun Market, Medan, using a quantitative survey approach. Data were collected in December 2024 from 97 respondents using a pre-developed questionnaire. The results indicate that although awareness of eco-friendly products is relatively high, price remains the primary factor influencing purchasing decisions. Consumers in traditional markets tend to prefer affordable eco-friendly products, supported by direct interaction with sellers and competitive pricing. Consumer perceptions and preferences regarding affordable eco-friendly products have a positive and significant influence on consumer attitudes and behavior. On the other hand, driving and inhibiting factors, while positive, do not show a significant influence. These findings offer valuable guidance for producers and marketers to improve the accessibility and acceptance of eco-friendly products through competitive pricing strategies and more intensive consumer education.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study aims to analyze and compare existing literature on pragmatic and idealistic leadership, specifically examining the differences between these leadership styles within organizations. The goal is to develop a more comprehensive understanding of these two approaches and how they contrast with one another. Background Problems: The research may face background challenges due to inadequate understanding of the differences between pragmatic and idealistic leadership, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each style. Moreover, it may be necessary to investigate the perceptions of various stakeholders such as followers, peers, and superiors towards these leadership styles. Novelty: Prior research has predominantly examined these leadership styles in isolation ; however, this study seeks to present a more comprehensive analysis by exploring both their distinctions and commonalities. Research Methods: A Systematic Literature Review is expected to include an analysis of existing studies sourced from five reputable journals indexed in the scopus database. Finding/Results: Pragmatic leadership is flexible and adaptable, emphasizing context-dependent approaches that prioritize relationships within a community. Ideological leadership, on the other hand, involves leaders who have a strong belief in a particular ideology or set of values that guide their decision-making and actions. Conclusion: the articles suggest that modern leaders need to be both pragmatic and idealistic to succeed. They should have a strong belief in their vision or set of values while also being flexible and adaptable to the current situation.

Abstract

This study examines the preferences of Management Study Program students at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) Medan Campus regarding how their parents manage the family business and how these preferences influence students’ academic learning motivation. Data were collected from one hundred respondents representing the student population using a quantitative approach. The results of the analysis indicate that students’ preferences toward their parents’ decision-making in the family business have a significant effect on their motivation to learn; students who show stronger preferences for involvement in the family business tend to exhibit higher academic learning motivation. These results give parents and teachers fresh perspectives on how family business choices influence students' learning settings. Additionally, this study highlights the significance of creating holistic and integrative teaching methods, especially in situations when family financial decisions affect students' academic and professional growth. The results could be used as a basis for developing more flexible teaching methods in both formal education and family business management situations.
