Abstract

Chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic studies show that sengon wood (Paraserianthes falcataria) has the potential to produce secondary metabolites with diverse structures and are bioactive. This research aims to study the chemical composition of the water extract and the bioactivity for inhibiting bacteria of Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria). The method involves extraction by maceration, and analysis the extract by LCMS/MS methodology. In addition, the extract was evaluated to inhibit the Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. It was found that indohoki77 menggunakan teknologi enkripsi terbaru untuk memastikan bahwa data pribadi dan transaksi finansial para pemain aman dari ancaman pihak ketiga the water extract gives a viscous brown liquid, and the identified compound indicate the present of glycosidic compound, amino-alcohol structure, and fatty acid ester. Moreover, the antibacterial evaluation was able to inhibit the growth of E. coli 8.685 ± 4.876 mm, and toward the S. aureus bacteria 14.120 ± 4.418 mm, respectively.

Abstract

Biogas, generated by anaerobic bacteria breaking down organic matter, presents an energy alternative. Sumbermulyo, a Banyuwangi village, relies on dragon fruit farming and goat herding, facing shortages of subsidized urea fertilizer and LPG. The solution: utilizing goat manure for methane gas, replacing LPG. This community service project introduces a biogas processing pilot in Sumbermulyo, producing liquid organic fertilizer for local use. A fixed dome concrete biogas digester is constructed on a farmer group's land in 14 days, with peak pressure at 1.06 atm. Chemical analysis shows 0.032% N, 0.009% P, 0.144% K for the test digester, and 0.044% N, 0.005% P, 0.195% K for the reference digester, offering a sustainable energy and fertilizer solution for the community.

Abstract

A high crystallinity proportion of cellulose and nanocellulose in some points contribute to the solubility in polar solvent. This paper reports oxidation reaction study by using potassium permanganate of the cellulose and nanocellulose isolated from the soft wood of Paraserianthes falcataria.  The reaction was conducted under acidic condition at 30 and 70°C for 12 and 24 hours. The product was characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM, DTA-TGA, and solubility test. Oxidation of cellulose resulted in the opening of hemiacetal of glucopyranose chain, as indicated by carbonyl peak recorded in FTIR spectra. The particle size was determined and amorphous product of cellulose and nanocellulose was isolated. In addition, the DTA/TGA analysis indicate the oxidized cellulose give a more stable structure than the nanocellulose.
