Abstract

Land Function Changing is defined as transformation of Land Resourches alocation from previous using to other using. The objctives of this reserach is to know the amount of agricultural land that change to other fuctions, the reasons of land transformation and recent fucntions of land in Udapi Hilir Village, Prafi District, Manokwari Regency. The method that used is description with case study. The result shows that from 100 Ha agricultural land now changed 55,5 Ha to non agricultural fuction. The determination factors are : Income (36), Labour (24%), childrens’ education cost (18%), age (12%), non productive land (6%), and healthcare (4%). The new fuctions of land are: shops, houses, stalls, shop house, restaurant, furniture business, workshop, stone cloth business and tourist destinations.

Abstract

West Papua Province is one of the cocoa producers which is a superior commodity in the agricultural sector. The area of West Papua Province that has the potential to be a cocoa production center, one of which is southern Manokwari. Areas with potential for cocoa production in the South Manokwari region are spread in Ransiki, Momi waren and Oransbari Districts. Cocoa beans from South Manokwari have various uses, including cocoa beans from the Ebier Suth production house used to produce chocolate bars. Chocolate bars are one of the products derived from cocoa that has great potential to be developed. South Manokwari is known as an area with abundant cocoa production, cocoa beans that are processed into chocolate bar products become commodities that have significant potential and economic value. To ensure the continuity and development of chocolate bars at the Ebier Suth Production House, it is important to analyze the revenue and how the chocolate bar products are sold. Specifically, the purpose of this research is (1) to analyze the income of chocolate bar products from the Ebier Suth Production House, (2) to examine the sales of chocolate bar products at the Ebier Suth Production House. Data was obtained from interviews with respondents based on a list of questions/questionnaires that had been prepared, while secondary data was obtained from related agencies related to this study. Analysis of Chocolate Bar Business at Ebier Suth Production House : 1) The revenue from chocolate bar products at Ebier Suth Production House amounts to IDR 3,920,000 per month. The total sales per month reach 1,320 chocolate bars, equivalent to IDR 22,650,000, with total production costs amounting to IDR 18,730,000. 2) The sales of chocolate bar products at Ebier Suth Production House have equal opportunities and weaknesses, each with a percentage of 40%. Opportunities arise from the sale of chocolate bars through external distributors in the Manokwari and Oransbari regions. Weaknesses stem from fluctuations in product quality, a lack of labor, and the absence of backup machines, which could affect chocolate bar production.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan salah satu masalah yang sedang terjadi di Kelurahan Wosi Distrik Manokwari Barat Kabupaten Manokwari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui bentuk pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga di Kelurahan Wosi Distrik Manokwari Barat Kabupaten Manokwari (2) mengetahui besarnya ketersediaan rumah tangga membayar iuran sampah di Kelurahan Wosi Distrik Manokwari Barat Kabupaten Manokwari. (3) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ketersediaan membayar iuran sampah rumah tangga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan contoh dilakukan secara sengaja. Pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif, contingen valuasi method dan model logit.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the production process of betung bamboo shoots (Dendrocalamus asper) and determine the income earned by farmers in Uriemi Village, Rasiei District, Teluk Wondama Regency. The research method used is descriptive with a case study approach, involving 22 bamboo shoot farmers selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected through interviews and direct observations, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that bamboo shoot production is carried out throughout the year, with an average harvest yield of 25 kg per harvest. The average farmer's revenue from bamboo shoot farming is IDR 8,318,182 per year, with a net income of IDR 5,789,614 per year after deducting production costs. It is recommended that farmers receive training on bamboo shoot processing and product development to increase added value and community welfare.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Warmare District, with the aim of examining the staple food consumption patterns of Arfak Tribe farming households in Warmare District. This research uses a quantitative approach using survey methods. The method used to collect data in this research was 24 hour recall. The research population is Arfak tribe farming households who cultivate tubers and rice fields in the Warmare District, namely Kwau Village, Guentuy Village and Indisey VillageThe results of the research show that the average staple food consumption pattern in Kwau Village is the highest in the sweet potato food type, namely 1,595.54 grams per day, Guentuy Village and Indisey Village, on average, the type of food most consumed is grains (white rice). 1,486.37 grams per day and 1,451.83 grams per dayThe average expected food pattern score for tuber foods, namely sweet potatoes, taro and cassava, has reached the normative expected food pattern score, for the grains group, Kwau Village has not yet reached the expected and normative food pattern score, while for Guentuy Village and Indisey Village it has achieve normative expected food pattern scores.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Aipiri Village, East Manokwari District, with the aim of examining the motivations of indigenous farmers (OAP) in horticultural farming in Aipiri Village, East Manokwari District. The research employed survey and case study methods. The sampling method used in this research was simple random sampling. The population of this study consisted of indigenous farmers (OAP) engaged in horticultural farming in Aipiri Village, East Manokwari District. The results of this study indicate that farmers have a high motivation for existence needs, with 70.6% of farmers motivated to meet their children's educational expenses and 72.5% motivated to fulfill supporting educational needs for their children. For relatedness needs, 60.8% of farmers were motivated to gain new experiences from other farmers, and 70.6% were motivated to provide experiences to other farmers. For growth needs, 62.7% of farmers were motivated to use modern equipment, and 82.4% were motivated to implement the internet.
