Abstract

This study aims to describe the comparison of the image of women in the novel Wa Nasitu Anni Imro'ah by Ihsan Abdul Quddus and the Novel Kartini by Abidah El Khaileqy (Comparative Literature Study). This type of research was qualitative with descriptive method. Qualitative research is research that intends to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by research subjects such as actors, perceptions, motivations, and actions holistically and by way of description in the form of words and language, in a special natural context. The results of this study present some of the data obtained as research evidence, namely, the female image of the novel Wa Nasitu Anni Imro'ah by Ihsan Abdul Quddus and the Novel Kartini by Abidah El Khaileqy contained in this novel, namely: 1) personal image of women 2) image of women in the family, and 3) the image of women in society. The two novels show that women are capable and can become a highly educated person, have a career and get the same rights as men, without having to be limited by customary rules.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the issue of heretical deviations in the Al-Zaytun Islamic boarding school constructed by four online media sources: metro.suara.com, bandung.viva.co.id, rejabar.republik.co.id, and merdeka.com which had intensely reported on this controversy for weeks. It is intended to reveal what actually occurred in the institution and analyze how these media framed the issue critically. This study uses Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) model through three levels of analysis: critical language analysis, subjective interpretation of the discourse practices, and relevant information on the media's sociocultural practices. This research found that the media's claim that al-Zaytun Islamic boarding school engaged in radicalism is a construction of pseudo-reality. The text narrative is unclear, and the news facts are blurred, containing bias and prone to debates. The findings reveal that the actual reality constructed by the four online media is the contestation of elite groups over the discourse on heretical teachings against Al-Zaytun Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the use of the Lumi Education application in enhancing Arabic language skills among students of MAN 2 Makassar City. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, this research involved 37 students from class X.I as the sample. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation during the Arabic learning process using the Lumi application. The findings reveal that the application had a positive impact on students' speaking abilities, motivation, participation, and comprehension. A total of 70.3% of students reported that the app was helpful and easy to use. Furthermore, 59.5% found it accessible and interactive, supporting their language learning. These results suggest that the Lumi Education application is an effective learning medium for improving Arabic language proficiency.

Abstract

Background: The phenomenon of mugāyarah in the nominal sentence (jumlah ismiyyah) structures of the Qur’an reflects a fascinating linguistic dynamic that warrants exploration from the perspective of Arabic grammar (nahwu). Purpose: This study aims to analyze the forms and functions of mugāyarah between the mubtada’ (subject) and khabar (predicate) in the Qur’an, using both syntactic and semantic approaches. Method: A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using a textual study design. Data were sourced from Qur’anic verses containing nominal sentences, selected through purposive sampling of 20 verses that demonstrate the mugāyarah phenomenon. The primary instrument was classical Arabic linguistic analysis, supported by AntConc software to visualize word distribution. Data analysis was conducted through syntactic and semantic approaches grounded in classical Arabic linguistic theory and tafsir. Results and Discussion: The findings reveal that mugāyarah in the relationship between mubtada’ and khabar functions as a rhetorical and semantic strategy that enhances the message of the verses, rather than constituting a grammatical anomaly. These grammatical variations highlight the richness of Qur’anic linguistic structures and address a gap in linguistic studies concerning semantically valid deviations. Conclusions and Implications: This study concludes that mugāyarah enriches the meaning and adds deeper linguistic dimensions to the Qur’an. The findings have implications for the development of Arabic linguistic studies and linguistic exegesis in understanding sacred texts.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Internasional ini bertujuan untuk melatih keterampilan mendikte (mengimla’) bahasa Arab bagi santri Madrasah Tahfidz Al-Qur’an Addalawiyah, Thailand. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk mengajarkan teori dan praktik mendikte bahasa Arab dengan metode yang sederhana namun efektif, sehingga memudahkan santri dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi bahasa Arab.Madrasah Tahfidz Al-Qur’an Addalawiyah merupakan salah satu pesantren yang terkenal di Thailand Selatan, dengan fokus utama pada program tahfidz Al-Qur’an dan pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Program tahfidz Al-Qur’an di wilayah ini sangat diminati oleh masyarakat Muslim Thailand, khususnya di kawasan selatan. Hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya madrasah Al-Qur’an yang didirikan oleh para ustaz dan ulama, serta berbagai kegiatan pendukung seperti camp bahasa Arab, lomba pidato bahasa Arab, dan program serupa yang bertujuan memperkuat penguasaan bahasa Arab. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah pendekatan pembelajaran hibrid, yaitu gabungan antara keilmuan membaca dan mendikte (mengimla’). Pendekatan ini memberikan pengalaman belajar yang komprehensif dan interaktif, sehingga santri mampu memahami teori sekaligus terampil dalam praktik mendikte. Mitra kegiatan dalam program ini adalah kelompok santri Madrasah Tahfidz Al-Qur’an Addalawiyah, Thailand, yang berjumlah 25 orang. Melalui pelatihan ini, diharapkan santri tidak hanya mampu menulis bahasa Arab dengan baik dan benar, tetapi juga mengembangkan kreativitas mereka dalam mendukung pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan tahfidz Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Sastra umumnya berbentuk puisi, prosa, dan drama. Pembahasan puisi, prosa, dan drama disebut kritik sastra. Kritik sastra biasanya menunjukkan kelebihan atau kekurangan sebuah karya sastra. Kritik sastra membantu pembaca memahami karya sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi persamaan dan perbedaan metode kritik sastra lintas negara dan zaman yang berbeda, yaitu membandingkan metode kritik sastra Ibnu Qutaibah dan Hb. jassin. Penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan berpikir deduktif dan komparatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan literatur klasik dalam kitab Syi'ru Wa Syuara' karya Ibnu Qutaibah dan kitab HB. Jassin Paus Sastra Indonesia karya Pamusuk Eneste sebagai data primer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ibnu Qutaibah dan HB. Jassin dalam mengkritisi atau menilai puisi dalam bukunya sangat objektif, bukan berdasarkan subjektivisme dengan melihat kelas sosial penyair. Perbedaannya terletak pada kaidah penilaian karya sastra baik dari segi bahasa, makna, maupun kaidah kebahasaan.

Abstract

This study examines the stylistic beauty of Uthman ibn Affan's first sermon after his appointment as the third caliph by highlighting five main aspects, namely phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and imagery. This study uses a qualitative approach with a stylistic analysis method on the Arabic sermon text which is studied descriptively-analytical. The results show that the dominance of nasal and vibrating consonants forms a distinctive phonological rhythm that strengthens the persuasive power of the sermon, while syntactic variations through al-taqdīm wa al-ta'khīr and the repetition of the lafaz al-ghurūr emphasize the rhetorical power and emphasis of meaning. Semantic analysis reveals the use of denotative and connotative meanings as well as the use of al-ṭibāq (antonymy) techniques that enrich the expression of meaning. From a morphological perspective, the use of terms such as abnā' al-dunyā reflects the depth of contextual messages that are moral and spiritual. The element of imagery, particularly jinās, not only enhances the sound of language but also emphasizes the relationship of meaning within the discourse of sermons. The novelty of this research lies in the application of a comprehensive stylistic analysis to the sermons of the early Islamic caliphs, which have so far been studied primarily historically and thematically. This finding confirms that the linguistic beauty of Uthman ibn Affan's sermons is not merely rhetorical ornamentation, but rather an effective medium for conveying moral and spiritual messages persuasively   تتناول هذه الدراسة جمال الأسلوب في خطبة عثمان بن عفان الأولى بعد توليه الخلافة الثالثة، مُسلطةً الضوء على خمسة جوانب رئيسية، هي: علم الأصوات، وعلم الصرف، وعلم النحو، وعلم الدلالة، والتصوير. وتعتمد الدراسة منهجًا نوعيًا مع تحليل أسلوبي لنص الخطبة العربية، الذي دُرِسَ وصفيًا تحليليًا. تُظهر النتائج أن غلبة الحروف الأنفية والساكنة المهتزة تُشكل إيقاعًا صوتيًا مميزًا يُعزز قوة الخطبة الإقناعية، بينما تُؤكد التنويعات النحوية من خلال "التقديم والإخراج" وتكرار "لفظ الغرور" على قوة البلاغة وتأكيد المعنى. ويكشف التحليل الدلالي عن استخدام المعاني الدلالية والإيحائية، فضلًا عن استخدام تقنيات "الطَباق" (التضاد) التي تُثري التعبير عن المعنى. من منظور صرفي، يعكس استخدام مصطلحات مثل "أبناء الدنيا" عمق الرسائل السياقية ذات الطابع الأخلاقي والروحي. ولا يقتصر دور الصور البلاغية، ولا سيما "الجنس"، على إثراء رنين اللغة فحسب، بل يؤكد أيضًا على ترابط المعاني في خطاب الخطب. وتكمن جدة هذا البحث في تطبيق تحليل أسلوبي شامل على خطب الخلفاء الراشدين، التي دُرست حتى الآن بشكل أساسي من منظور تاريخي وموضوعي. وتؤكد هذه النتيجة أن جمال خطب عثمان بن عفان اللغوي ليس مجرد زخرفة بلاغية، بل هو وسيلة فعالة لنقل الرسائل الأخلاقية والروحية بأسلوب مقنع.   Penelitian ini menelaah keindahan stilistika dalam khutbah pertama Utsman bin Affan setelah pengangkatannya sebagai khalifah ketiga dengan menyoroti lima aspek utama, yaitu fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, semantik, dan imagery. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis stilistika terhadap teks khutbah berbahasa Arab yang dikaji secara deskriptif-analitis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dominasi konsonan nasal dan getar membentuk ritme fonologis khas yang memperkuat daya persuasif khutbah, sementara variasi sintaksis melalui al-taqdīm wa al-ta’khīr serta repetisi lafaz al-ghurūr menegaskan kekuatan retorika dan penekanan makna. Analisis semantik mengungkap pemanfaatan makna denotatif dan konotatif serta penggunaan teknik al-ṭibāq (antonimi) yang memperkaya ekspresi makna. Dari sisi morfologi, penggunaan istilah seperti abnā’ al-dunyā mencerminkan kedalaman pesan kontekstual yang bersifat moral dan spiritual. Unsur imagery, khususnya jinās, tidak hanya memperindah bunyi bahasa, tetapi juga mempertegas relasi makna dalam wacana khutbah. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan analisis stilistika komprehensif terhadap khutbah khalifah awal Islam, yang selama ini lebih banyak dikaji secara historis dan tematik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa keindahan bahasa khutbah Utsman bin Affan bukan sekadar ornamen retoris, melainkan medium efektif dalam menyampaikan pesan moral dan spiritual secara persuasif.

Abstract

The discussion in this treatise is the Qur'an's view of work ethics focusing on Surah Al-Taubah /105:9, with this writing in the study of interpretation can provide understanding for the community to do a good job. This study uses a qualitative literary research method. Then the data collection used is the library method that comes from primary and secondary data. After the data is collected, it is then performed by processing the data using a perfect interpretation pattern. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using description, validation and argumentation. The results of this study, in work ethics in Surah At-Tawbah /105:9 found forms of work ethics, working hard, enthusiasm and wisdom for life as a quality virtue of life in the sense that it should be with good efforts and methods and to be grateful for what is achieved as a form of human existence.
