Abstract

Islam is a religion of mercy for all humans and the universe. As stated in the Qur'an, the Prophet Muhammad SAW was sent as rahmatan lil 'alamin, including in order to create peace for all mankind on the face of the earth and avoid conflicts, even though conflicts still occur in parts of the world, so many of the Prophet's hadiths contain efforts to Efforts in handling conflict that are still relevant to be implemented are: 1). Conveying good things to the parties involved in the conflict, 2). Reconciling conflicting parties, 3). Conflict resolution with explanations from witnesses, 4). Be patient and pray for the party who triggered the conflict, 5). Shaking hands between the parties in conflict.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the development of a multicultural Islamic Religious Education curriculum at a business-oriented boarding school for the elderly. The results of this research can be concluded that Islamic education is conscious guidance in developing the potential or abilities of students in accordance with Islamic teachings. Meanwhile, multicultural education is education in order to strive for and realize harmonization and the beauty of living together in diverse cultures, social backgrounds, languages, ethnicities, languages, groups and so on. The components of developing a multicultural Islamic Religious Education curriculum include objectives, content, methods/strategies, learning media and evaluation, all of which are interrelated. The material component for developing a multicultural Islamic religious education curriculum is equal rights (equity), tolerance (tolerance), humanity (humanity), precedes the dialog (prioritize dialogue) and justice (justice). Curriculum development at Islamic Boarding Schools for the Elderly can be carried out by adapting the abilities of the elderly who are oriented towards financial independence through the production of goods needed by the community using simple technology.

Abstract

Education began with the classical view of ancient Greek philosophy regarding logical truth, in the medieval period there was a restriction on freedom of thought by the church on the grounds that truth could not be produced by reason as happened in the ancient Greek period, after that came the modern period called the renaissance , namely the school of thought. rationalism which prioritizes reason as a source of knowledge. From knowledge that continues to develop, new ideas and knowledge emerge that make the world of education activities increasingly complex. This history-based educational theory research uses a qualitative approach with a type of bibliographic research so as to present accurate historical facts in accordance with theory from various historical experts' points of view. The science developed in western education is philosophy which is formed as a reference for their thinking, which will give rise to thoughts characterized by materialism, idealism, secularism and rationalism.
