Abstract

The rapid development of globalization compels companies to enhance the quality of their products and services to compete in the market. The primary goal of companies is to maximize corporate value, which reflects the well-being of shareholders and attracts investors’ interest. Corporate value is often gauged by the stock price in the capital market, making it crucial for companies to plan sound financial strategies. This research focuses on the banking sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2021 to 2023, evaluating the influence of investment policy, dividend policy, and profitability on corporate value. The study employs a descriptive quantitative method using secondary data from the companies’ financial reports. Multiple linear regression analysis is used to assess the relationships between these variables. The results indicate that investment policy and profitability have a positive but not significant effect on corporate value, while dividend policy has a significant positive impact. Corporate value is also affected by stock price fluctuations, which are often inconsistent. These findings affirm that dividend policy is a crucial factor in enhancing corporate value, while investment policy and profitability, although important, do not have a significant impact within the study period. Overall, these independent variables collectively have a significant influence on corporate value in the banking sector on the IDX. This research provides insights for company management in formulating effective strategies to increase corporate value.

Abstract

Regional Original Revenue is one of the main indicators in assessing a region's financial independence in managing local finances. This study aims to analyze the simultaneous and partial influence that affects PAD in Bali Province, focusing on the number of tourists, tourist attractions, and the number of restaurants. The research method used is a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis techniques. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Bali Province Central Bureau of Statistics and other relevant institutions. The results show that the number of tourists, tourist attractions, and the number of restaurants simultaneously have a significant effect on Regional Original Revenue in Bali Province. Partially, the number of tourists has a positive and significant effect on Regional Original Revenue, indicating that the higher the number of tourists, the greater their contribution to regional revenue. However, the number of tourist attractions has a negative and significant effect on Regional Original Revenue, suggesting that an increase in tourist attractions that is not optimally managed may reduce the effectiveness of regional revenue. Meanwhile, the number of restaurants has a positive and not have a significant impact on Regional Original Revenue, which may be due to tax management factors or the effectiveness of oversight in the sector. This study suggests that the regional government should improve the management and promotion of tourist destinations to attract more tourists, which would directly contribute to increasing Regional Original Revenue. Additionally, strategies to enhance local tax collection in the restaurant sector should be further evaluated to optimize their contribution to Regional Original Revenue.f Restaurants

Abstract

As a developing country that adheres to an open economic system, Indonesia is inseparable from international trade, one of which is exports. Indonesia's leading export in non-oil and gas commodities is coal. The value of Indonesia's coal exports to five destination countries from 2009-2023 continues to fluctuate. The purpose of this study is to analyze the simultaneous and partial effects of reference prices, total consumption, and renewable energy on the value of Indonesia's coal exports to five main destination countries for the period 2009-2023. The number of observations in this study was 75 observations. This research method uses descriptive analysis techniques and panel data regression. The results of the regression test on panel data show that the most appropriate model is FEM. The results of this study indicate that the variables of reference price, total consumption, and renewable energy simultaneously have a significant effect on the value of Indonesia's coal exports. Partially, the variables of reference price and total consumption have a positive and significant effect, while renewable energy has a negative and significant effect on the value of Indonesia's coal exports.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of land area, global cocoa prices, and production volume on Indonesia's cocoa export volume. Cocoa is one of the leading plantation commodities that significantly contributes to the country's foreign exchange and plays an important role in the national economy. However, Indonesia's cocoa export volume has experienced considerable fluctuations over the years due to various internal and external factors, including climate change, international price dynamics, and domestic productivity levels. This research uses time series data spanning 30 years, from 1994 to 2023, obtained from official sources such as the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and international publications. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the extent to which each independent variable influences the dependent variable, namely the volume of cocoa exports. The results of the analysis show that only the production volume variable has a statistically significant effect on Indonesia's cocoa export volume. Meanwhile, land area and global cocoa prices do not show a significant influence. These findings suggest that increasing cocoa export volume is more strongly determined by the amount of production available for the international market rather than by the expansion of land area or global price fluctuations. In other words, even if cocoa prices are high or land is expanded, exports will not necessarily increase without improvements in productivity and output. Therefore, strategies for developing Indonesia’s cocoa sector should prioritize enhancing farmer productivity, improving cultivation technology, and increasing efficiency in post-harvest and distribution systems. This study is expected to serve as a reference for policymakers in formulating effective strategies to support the growth of Indonesia’s cocoa exports and strengthen the competitiveness of the national cocoa industry in the global market. Future efforts should focus on sustainable production practices and value-added processing to ensure long-term benefits for all stakeholders involved in the cocoa supply chain.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry is a strategic sector that plays a vital role in Indonesia’s economy, serving as a major contributor to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the largest absorber of formal labor. Over the past three decades, this sector has faced various global dynamics, including technological advancements, automation, and fluctuations in investment and exports, all of which influence labor structures. Amid the transition toward Industry 4.0, it is essential to understand how macroeconomic factors such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), wages, and exports shape employment absorption in the manufacturing sector. This study analyzes the effects of these variables on Indonesia’s manufacturing employment from 1994 to 2024 using a quantitative approach with secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). Multiple linear regression analysis using EViews was employed to examine both simultaneous and partial effects. The findings show that FDI, wages, and exports significantly influence employment absorption simultaneously. Partially, FDI has a positive but insignificant effect, indicating the dominance of capital-intensive foreign investment. Conversely, wages and exports have positive and significant effects. These results highlight that productivity-aligned wage increases and strong export performance can expand production capacity and generate new jobs. Therefore, optimizing labor-intensive investment, implementing proportional wage policies, and strengthening export performance are crucial strategies to enhance employment absorption in Indonesia’s manufacturing sector.
