Abstract

Teachers as the most important source of transmitting learning material undoubtedly have thousands of heads to achieve competent teaching quality. In this current era, teachers must be able to change learning media that are allegedly monotonous and can make students bored in class into media that are innovative and make students enthusiastic in class. Technology and information-based learning environments are used in the learning process or in learning strategies. Quizwhizzer. is a learning media that helps students learn independently, can be used anytime and anywhere, and is very useful for learning activities. Additionally Quizwhizzer. able to open students' knowledge because of Quizwhizzer. is very open and contains a lot of interactive learning, so that it can enable students to get lessons that may not have been taught in class. The aim of this research is to reveal the use of Quizwhizzer. in learning activities. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data was collected through observation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out through transcription, coding and verification. The research results show that teachers use Quizwhizzer in class. This media makes it easier for teachers to provide educational material to students through the interactive game Quizwhizzer.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen tipe pretest-posttest control group. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 62 siswa yang dibagi secara merata ke dalam dua kelompok, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan perlakuan model inkuiri terbimbing dan kelas kontrol yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan metode konvensional. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kedua variabel dalam kelas eksperimen. Nilai N-Gain literasi sains mencapai 0,67 (kategori sedang), sedangkan motivasi belajar memperoleh skor 0,72 (kategori tinggi). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa model inkuiri terbimbing efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa secara kognitif dan afektif, serta mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang aktif, kolaboratif, dan bermakna. Selain itu, pendekatan ini turut mendorong pengembangan kompetensi abad ke-21 seperti berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah. Oleh karena itu, model inkuiri terbimbing layak dijadikan strategi alternatif dalam pembelajaran IPAS di tingkat madrasah ibtidaiyah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran secara holistik.

Abstract

Purpose – This study investigates the effectiveness of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual) learning model combined with mind mapping media in enhancing elementary students' interest in science learning. The research addresses common challenges in science education, including limited teaching model variations and students' perceptions of science as a difficult subject.Method – A quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach was employed. Data was collected through questionnaires and documentation from fourth-grade students at MI Miftahul Huda. Findings – The implementation of the SAVI-mind mapping integration yielded significant positive results. Student responses to the learning model showed 83% positive engagement (strong category) and 43% for negative statements (moderately strong category). Learning interest questionnaires revealed 79% positive responses (strong category) and 55% for negative statements (moderately strong category). Statistical analysis demonstrated a significant influence of the SAVI-mind mapping model on science learning interest, with a sig. value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the acceptance of Ha and rejection of H0. Research Implications – This study provides empirical evidence for the effectiveness of combining kinesthetic, auditory, visual, and intellectual approaches in elementary science education. The findings offer educators a validated teaching model that can be easily implemented in elementary science classrooms. The study provides specific guidelines for integrating SAVI principles with mind mapping techniques, making it invaluable for teachers. This study provides a validated and ready-to-use learning model. They can confidently apply this approach because it is supported by strong empirical evidence. Furthermore, the flexibility of this method allows teachers to make adjustments according to the context and needs of their classrooms.
