Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the estimated magnitude of the increase in clean water demand and the service level of the Limboto Unit PDAM until 2020, as well as to evaluate the distribution of water loss levels in the Limboto City SPAM clean water network. The research method used is a case study by analyzing and evaluating the required data, including data on the number of residents, number of customers and data on the production and distribution of PDAM Limboto Unit water for the last 5 years. This research is divided into several activity stages, namely: projection of the number of consumers and amount of clean water usage, analysis of needs and level of clean water services until 2020 and evaluation of the distribution of water loss levels in PDAM Limboto City. The research results show that PDAM's water distribution capacity in 2020 to serve customer needs according to the estimated population is 229.55 lt/s out of a total number of consumers of 88,146 people. Service coverage in 2011 in Limboto City has reached 78.01%. The level of water loss that occurs in the Limboto City SPAM clean water supply system is estimated for the distribution network on average at 9.80% and for the transmission network on average at 25.94%. According to the results of the analysis and evaluation, activities are needed to increase the capacity of the transmission network and production system in stages of 40-80 liters/second, adding reservoirs, adding and replacing pipes and meters in line with the increasing number of customers and the need for clean water until 2020.

Abstract

This research was conducted on Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro, Limba B Village, South Kota District. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of side obstacles on the characteristics of traffic flow on Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro, Limba B Village, South Kota District. Based on vehicle data, the maximum traffic volume occurred on Monday at 15.00 – 16.00 WITA, 508.5 pcu/hour, and capacity was 1996,198 pcu/hour. This shows that the capacity is still greater than the maximum traffic volume that occurs. Based on the calculation results of the capacity value (C = 1996,198 pcu/hour) the ability to accommodate the flow or volume of traffic on the Jl. Prince Diponegoro is still included in category C, where the flow conditions are stable, the traffic speed is approximately greater or less than 65 km/hour, the traffic volume is around 50% of capacity (1400 pcu/hour/lane). Traffic conditions, factors which include side obstructions from the road, including the number of vehicles waiting for passengers to stop on the road, and the presence of vehicles standing or parking on the shoulder of the road which can cause congestion.

Abstract

The GORR construction road is one of the non-toll (unpaid) national roads carried out by the Gorontalo National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) in stages since 2014, divided into 3 segments. The existence of this ring road is also an alternative route for vehicles to Gorontalo Harbor as a collection port. With this community service, it is hoped that it can provide a useful overview of the relationship between studying in the civil engineering department and a work environment that is full of dynamics, starting from understanding the maintenance of a construction to the implementation process in the field, both in terms of the processes that occur or work mechanisms, management. operation and technical quality control as well as being able to analyze behaviors or problems that often occur.

Abstract

The advancement of technology in society has significantly impacted urban development, particularly in Gorontalo Province, leading to increased mobility and activity among residents. This has resulted in the growth of residential buildings, places of worship, educational institutions, and shopping centers, with structures increasingly expanding vertically due to population growth. This study aims to compare the structural analysis of an 8-story reinforced concrete building using two lateral load-resisting systems: the Shear Wall System and the Special Moment-Resisting Frame (SMRF) System, analyzed using ETABS software. The findings reveal distinct structural behaviors between the two systems. The shear wall system exhibited a maximum inter-story drift of 38.367 mm in the x-direction and 7.840 mm in the y-direction, while the SMRF system showed 23.272 mm (x-direction) and 37.492 mm (y-direction). The most notable difference was observed in the y-direction, where the shear wall system demonstrated significantly lower drift values compared to the SMRF system. This indicates that the shear wall system provides better resistance to lateral displacements in high-rise buildings under similar conditions.

Abstract

Perencanaan geometrik jalan merupakan aspek penting dalam desain infrastruktur transportasi yang berfungsi untuk menjamin keselamatan dan kenyamanan pengguna jalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang geometrik pada pembangunan ruas jalan Gorontalo – Bilihu Barat menggunakan software AutoCAD Civil 3D. Metodologi yang digunakan meliputi pengumpulan data topografi, analisis geometrik, dan penerapan desain menggunakan software tersebut. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan AutoCAD Civil 3D meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi perhitungan geometrik jalan, serta memberikan visualisasi yang jelas mengenai desain yang diusulkan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam perencanaan jalan di daerah lain dengan karakteristik yang serupa.

Abstract

Kemacetan lalu lintas di kawasan perkotaan Indonesia semakin kompleks seiring pertumbuhan jumlah kendaraan bermotor yang tidak sebanding dengan kapasitas jalan. Salah satu penyebab utama penurunan kinerja jalan adalah hambatan samping (side friction), yaitu aktivitas di sekitar badan jalan seperti parkir sembarangan, kendaraan keluar-masuk area samping, pejalan kaki, dan kendaraan lambat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak hambatan samping terhadap Biaya Operasional Kendaraan (BOK) di ruas Jalan Jendral Sudirman segmen RRI–UNG, Kota Gorontalo. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui survei volume lalu lintas, kecepatan kendaraan, dan inventarisasi hambatan samping. Data dianalisis menggunakan Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI, 2023) dan model Highway Design and Maintenance Vehicle Operating Cost (HDM-VOC). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tingkat hambatan samping pada jam puncak termasuk kategori tinggi, dengan dominasi aktivitas parkir dan keluar-masuk kendaraan. Kondisi ini menyebabkan penurunan kecepatan rata-rata menjadi 34,18 km/jam dan menurunkan tingkat pelayanan jalan hingga LOS D. Dampaknya, BOK kendaraan meningkat signifikan, yaitu Rp 12.378,3/km dibandingkan kondisi tanpa hambatan samping sebesar Rp 1.077,3/km. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya strategi pengendalian hambatan samping sebagai upaya efisiensi transportasi perkotaan.
