Abstract

This research is a type of classroom action research (PTK) which uses a qualitative approach. The CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) approach is the approach used in this research. The research subjects were students in class VII-2 of Beringin 1 State Junior High School in the 2023/2024 academic year, consisting of 32 students, namely 13 boys and 19 girls. Data collection techniques include objective tests, observation, direct question and answer, documentation, and field notes. The instruments used include learning outcomes tests, assessment of students' attitudes and emotions, assessment of writing skills based on assignments, as well as observation sheets from the research process. The results of reflection and data analysis during cycles I and II of the learning process show that the implementation of CTL has gone well. Students are very involved in learning activities and most have completed assignments. The indicators for implementing learning using the CTL method in cycle II entered the very good category or 90.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the forms of code switching and code mixing, and describe the factors that cause code switching and code mixing in Daddy Corbuzier's podcast: Honestly Livy Renata. The research method used in this research method is a qualitative descriptive method. From this analysis, it was found that there were 9 code-switching utterances and code-mixing utterances in the video.

Abstract

Bahasa Inggris kini telah menjadi tren dalam masyarakat disegala aspek kehidupan, terutama pada iklan. Salah satu iklan televisi Indonesia yang dominan menggunakan bahasa Inggris yaitu iklan minuman kemasan dengan merk “Chocodrink” yang diproduksi oleh PT. Wingsfood. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penggunaan bahasa asing yang terdapat dalam sebuah iklan Chocodrink. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sebab, peneliti mendeskripsikan suatu wacana dalam video iklan tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini yakni aspek pertama yang terdapat dalam analisis wacana kritis adalah analisis teks. Pada video iklan minuman Chocodrink yang di tayangkan di YouTube channelnya menggunakan bahasa asing yaitu bahasa Inggris yang dipergunakan bersamaan dengan bahasa Indonesia.
