Abstract

This study aims to investigation of family harmony, students' self-concept, and the relationship between family harmony and the self-concept of class X SMA K Christian Citra Bangsa Kupang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational research type. This study was conducted at Citra Bangsa Christian High School, Kupang City with a population of 173 students. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling technique and a total of sample 78 students. The data collection technique uses Instrument with a Likert scale model. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and correlational analysis with the SPSS for Windows 16.00 Version program. The study results show that (1) dominant family harmony is in the low category with a percentage of 39% (31 people) (2) Dominant self-concept is in the low category with a percentage of 35% (28 people). Product moment correlation analysis shows that family harmony and self-concept have a significant and positive relationship with a calculated r value of 0.702 (r calculated 0.701 > r table 0.227). Based on the research results, it is known that there is a significant and positive relationship between family harmony and the self-concept of class X students at Citra Bangsa Christian High School, Kupang. The results of this study indicate that the lower family harmony, the lower the self-concept of class X students at Citra Bangsa Christian High School Kupang.

Abstract

The use of facebook and nomophobia has a very negative impact on students. This study aims to determine the description of the intensity of Facebook use with the nomophobia tendency of students, and whether there is a relationship between the intensity of facebook use and the nomophobia tendency of BK Undana students. This research uses a quantitative approach with a type of correlation descriptive research. This research was carried out at the Guidance and Counseling Study Program of FKIP Nusa Cendana University Kupang with a total population of 209 people and a sample of 70 people. The sampling technique used is the purposive sampling method or respondents who have the characteristics of the same criteria. The data collection technique uses a likert scale questionnaire. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and correlation analysis with the help of the SPPS for Windows 26.00 Version program. The results showed that (I) In general, students using Facebook are in an intermediate presentation, namely 43% for the low category in using Facebook (II) Based on the results of data analysis, the nomophobia tendency of students of the FKIP guidance and counseling study program at Nusa Cendana University is in the low category in the nomophobia tendency with a presentation of 44%. Person product moment correlation analysis shows that between the intensity of facebook use and the tendency to nomophobia has a positive directional relationship shown with an r value of 0.452 The results of the correlation significance test, showed that there was a significant relationship between the intensity of facebook use and the nomophobia tendency of students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program FKIP Nusa Cendana Kupang University as evidenced by the r-count value > r table (0.452 >0.273). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there is a relationship between the intensity of Facebook use and the nomophobia tendency of BK Undana students. The higher the intensity of facebook use, the higher the tendency to nomophobia, on the contrary, the lower the intensity of facebook use, the nomophobia tendency of BK Undana students is also lower.

Abstract

This research aims to determine 1) a description of students' emotional regulation 2) a description of peer group acceptance and 3) analyze the relationship between emotional regulation and peer group acceptance among students at SMA Negeri 7 Kupang. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive correlation research. The total sample involved in this research was 84 students taken using random sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used the Emotion Regulation Scale and Peer Group Acceptance Questionnaire developed by the researcher. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and correlation analysis with the SPSS application. The research results showed that as many as 43% (36 students) were in the low category for emotional regulation abilities. Furthermore, peer group acceptance is also in the low category with a percentage of 38% (32 students). The results of product moment correlation analysis show that emotional regulation has a significant relationship with peer group acceptance at a significance level of 0.05. Furthermore, it is known that relationships are positive so that the higher the emotional regulation, the higher the acceptance of the peer group. These findings recommend the importance of improving emotion regulation skills at the secondary school level in the context of peer group acceptance.
