Abstract

This community service aims to raise awareness among adolescent girls and parents about the importance of iron nutrient intake through health education, the development of TTD consumption reminder tools, and encouraging routine Hb checks, with a target of reducing anemia incidence by 30% within six months. The methods used in this community service included counseling, demonstrations, and the formation of an anemia-aware youth community. Monitoring and evaluation of the activities were conducted through the distribution and checking of TTD consumption compliance cards, as well as checking Hb levels in adolescent girls. The results of this community service showed an increase in average knowledge among adolescents from 16.27 to 17.33 regarding anemia prevention behaviors, and adolescents can prepare food models according to the "isi piringku" guidelines. There was a significant difference in Hb measurements before and after providing the TTD consumption compliance card, increasing from 11.51 mg/dl to 12.46 mg/dl. The anemia-aware youth community had been established, and there was an increase in average knowledge among PKK mothers from 68.3 to 86.3. To further reduce the incidence of anemia in Ngemplak Village, it is hoped that adolescents will actively participate in the anemia-aware community formed in collaboration with the village midwife.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemberian makanan tambahan (PMT) dalam kegiatan posyandu merupakan upaya yang harus dilakukan untuk mendukung pemenuhan gizi balita. Akan tetapi, kader posyandu menghadapi tantangan karena keterbatasan dana yang disediakan oleh pemerintah untuk pembuatan PMT tersebut. Kader posyandu harus mengatasi masalah tersebut agar tetap bisa memberikan PMT dengan kualitas gizi yang optimal dengan melakukan iuran mandiri. Padahal, sebagian besar kader posyandu bekerja sebagai ibu rumah tangga. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) adalah pendampingan kader posyandu untuk mengembangkan usaha pembuatan PMT posyandu melalui kegiatan penyuluhan, pemberian modal usaha, dan pendampingan pengembangan usaha. Tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan antara lain penyiapan media kesehatan, penyuluhan kesehatan, pembentukan struktur pengurus usaha PMT, pembuatan PMT, dan evaluasi perkembangan usaha PMT. Sasaran kegiatan adalah seluruh kader posyandu Desa Mentoro, Pacitan, sebanyak delapan orang dari 25 orang yang diundang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penyuluhan tentang PMT bermanfaat untuk peningkatan pemahaman kader kesehatan tentang pembuatan PMT berbahan dasar lokal yang padat gizi. Evaluasi pengembangan usaha pembuatan PMT menunjukkan adanya hasil yang signifikan ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan sebesar 11,44% selama empat bulan dari modal awal yang diberikan. Kualitas PMT lebih terjamin karena pembelian bahan makanan dan pengolahannya dilakukan secara mandiri dengan pemantauan yang baik. Rekomendasi untuk pengelolaan dana usaha dalam jangka panjang perlu untuk ditingkatkan perencanaannya agar dapat memberikan manfaat secara berkelanjutan.Abstract: Providing additional food (PMT) in integrated service post (namely "posyandu") activities is an effort that must be made to support the nutritional needs of toddlers. However, posyandu cadres need more funds from the government to create the PMT. Posyandu cadres must overcome this problem so that they can continue to provide PMT with optimal nutritional quality by making independent contributions. In fact, most of the posyandu cadres work as housewives. The aim of community service activities (PkM) is to assist posyandu cadres in developing the business of making PMT posyandu through counseling activities, providing business capital, and business development assistance. The stages of activities carried out include preparing health media, health education, establishing a PMT business management structure, creating a PMT, and evaluating the development of the PMT business. The target of the activity was all posyandu cadres in Mentoro Village, Pacitan, eight of the 25 people invited. The results of the activity show that education about PMT is helpful in increasing health cadres' understanding of making PMT from local, nutrient-dense ingredients. Evaluation of the development of the PMT manufacturing business showed significant results, demonstrated by an increase of 11.44% over four months from the initial capital provided. The quality of PMT is more guaranteed because the purchasing of food ingredients and their processing are carried out independently with good monitoring. Recommendations for long-term management of business funds need to be improved in order to provide sustainable benefits.
