Abstract

In response to the growing demand for sugar that surpasses national production, enhancing sugar production capacity becomes imperative. This study, conducted in Watugede Village, Puncu District, Kediri Regency, East Java, from March to April 2019, explores the partnership dynamics between sugarcane farmers and sugar factories. Employing in-depth interviews and purposive sampling, the research assesses sugarcane farming feasibility, highlighting a favorable R/C ratio of 1.2 and a BEP unit of 37,837 kg, indicating the economic viability of sugarcane cultivation with revenues reaching Rp. 65,615,000. The agribusiness collaboration model identified is a subcontracting pattern between PG. Tjoekir and sugarcane farmers. Additionally, utilizing Porter's diamond model, the analysis reveals conducive factors supporting farmers' market access. These include favorable environmental conditions for sugarcane cultivation, a rising demand for sugar, and access to market information. In conclusion, fostering partnerships and improving farming practices showcase promising avenues for bolstering the sugar production sector.

Abstract

Abstrak: Era digitalisasi memunculkan persaingan usaha dan tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa UMKM harus dapat menerapkan manajemen strategi yang baik. Keunggulan kompetitif menjadi penting bagi UMKM Jamu di Kabupaten Mojokerto. Indentifikasi potensi menunjukkan UMKM jamu tersebut memiliki berbagai varian dengan harga terjangkau yang ditawarkan, namun mereka belum dapat memanfaatkan secara maksimal nilai-nilai bisnis yang ada karena tidak adanya kegiatan identifikasi nilai bisnis oleh pemilik UMKM. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan meningkatkan soft skill melalui penguatan identitas dan nilai bisnis. Pelatihan dilakukan di bulan Juli 2023 tentang pembuatan Model Bisnis Canvas (BMC) kepada para pemilik UMKM setempat. Metode yang digunakan adalah business coaching yang melibatkan mitra, yaitu pemilik UMKM sebanyak 10 orang secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan dilakukannya program ini, terdapat peningkatan softskill dari 30% menjadi 80%. Pemahaman BMC telah membantu meningkatkan pemahaman dan potensi bisnis UMKM Jamu Di Kabupaten Mojokerto. Saran keberlanjutan kegiatan adalah adanya pelatihan pembuatan konten video untuk digital branding.Abstract: Digitalization era has increased business competition and forced SMEs to implement effective strategic management. Competitive advantage is important for herbal medicine SMEs in Mojokerto Regency. Potential identification shows that herbal medicine SMEs have various variants at affordable prices, but they had not been able to make maximum use of existing business values because there were no business value identification by SMEs owners. Community service aims to identify and enhance business values through strengthening business identity and worth. Training was held in July 2023 on creating a Business Model Canvas for MSME owners. The method utilized included both socialization and practical engagement with the SME owners, actively involving them in the learning process. Through this program, there was enhancement in softskill from 30% to 80%. Community service activities have helped increase understanding and business potential of herbal medicine SMEs in Mojokerto. A recommendation for the sustainability of this activity is the implementation of training in video content creation for digital branding.
